My fiance and I popped in for lunch the week of July 4th. We sat at the bar and were very well taken care of by Barb. Groups came in waves, but she still made sure to answer all of our questions and elaborate on menu items. Her service was impeccably top-notch. We tried the chicken salad pita and the steak hoagie. With the chicken salad we chose the house fries which were perfectly cooked and with the hoagie we had the simple arugula side salad. We also tried the Asian Pear cocktail – the pepper was a surprisingly lovely detail! Everything was delightful! We will definitely return soon!

Beautiful modern restaurant, with scenic views and delicious food and drink. Everything is made with care and attention. The food is elevated but still classic and familiar. The highlight of the cocktails was the Manhattan that came with goat cheese and fig. The entire lake house is gorgeous as well. Staff are attentive and accommodating. Overall great experience!

Went here after the classic cocktail course they offered. That was a blast. Michael and the bartender(forgot name) were fantastic and fun.

On the last day of our mini moon, my husband and I decided to try breakfast at Rose Tavern. While we initially had concerns because from Google maps it looked as though this restaurant was located inside the hotel, we realized upon arriving at the space had its own entrance and we are so happy that we kept our reservations! Our server Hannah was truly amazing and helped two very indecisive eaters who are still on cloud nine from their wedding day pick out the perfect breakfast option before a drive back to Cleveland, Ohio.

Depending on what you ordered the food is good, not great, especially for how pricey it is. Example we disliked the beef tar tar and wedge salad but I liked a pasta dish with lamb I got there once except it was very over salted. But the service is the slowest I’ve ever experienced. Every time I’ve gone their dinner takes a full 3-4 hours it’s insane. They are always late to seat us when we make reservations and then it typically takes 45 mins between drink orders and such before the staff comes back. Also it’s typically crazy loud in here if that matters to you

Prices are far too high for the quality. $28 steak sandwich, felt like part of the cocktail hour at a wedding. $14 for a fruit bowl. It was pineapple and melon. I’m all for high prices, but at least try.

Had an absolutely lovely evening last night!! Thank you Sam, Jordan, Pat and the whole team for a special evening for our anniversary dinner. Sam was a gracious host and very present to make sure we were happy. Jordan was an impeccable professional and Pat brought our wine (who doesn’t love the wine guy!). By the way, the wine list is spectacular!! Great local and international selections, some very rare and unique offerings for sure(the Captains list was outstanding)! Jordan shared time with us, not just taking our meal requests, was perfectly friendly, listened to our stories (and wine talk!) and is very hospitable and knowledgeable. Menu offers seasonal and great staples and some varied options. Our food (risotto appetizer, halibut and duck mains with the brussel sprouts) were prepared perfectly, nicely portioned, seasoned just right, at a fantastic temperature so we could dig right in. Dessert, well let’s just say it was as lovely and memorable as our whole evening was. Thank you again. We’ll be back!! Cheers.

Had dinner at both Rose Tavern and The Sand Bar, and preferred The Sand Bar much more. Overall, the hotel and atmosphere is great with both, but the food was much better at The Sand Bar. Prices are about the same. We ordered the Shrimp cocktail with crab Louie to start, my wife had the scallops, I had the duck and we got a side of brussel sprouts. The shrimp were fresh and delicious but were only served with cocktail sauce upon our request which was basically just ketchup. For a restaurant of this elegance I would have expected better. The crab Louie was good. The scallops were fresh but both dishes came out as if they were sitting under heat lamps and minutes apart. Not what you’d expect when paying $100+ per person. Instead go get the Cioppino from The Sand Bar, which was outstanding.
