Running in La Mesa
It’s official. Finally found my favorite taco shop. Not just in La Mesa but anywhere. Incredible food, clean affordable and great service.

A little pricey, but always good portion sizes. Taco Tuesday sports $1.50 mini tacos which are fantastic at that price. The rice actually has flavor (unlike other places). I miss the fountain drinks, bur typically a 12oz can is fine anyway. Overall, you can’t go wrong here.

Been to this place many times before. Pretty nice. Food is great and tasty. The staff is friendly. As far as cleanliness – I’d say, it’s one small step lower of how clean the national food oriented small business could actually be, so it’s ok. Pretty nice place overall and the prices are compatible…

I ate from there a few time’s and it has been good. Only have had carne asada, Pollo asada, and B&C burritos there, but they were always good. I have only done the drive through.

Shrimp cocktail…Large, plenty for 4 servings. They’ll make freshly made tortilla chips in bag for takeout.

I grew up on Rosarito’s burritos, hot sauce, and their Special Number 4 (which has ALWAYS been a great deal). Since my first taste of their delicious food, at least 30 years ago now, I knew I’d keep coming back. Now I live in northern CA, and any time I’m within 100 miles of this home town gem, I feast and then order a bunch of bean and cheese burritos to bring back for my friends and family who know just how delicious SoCal Mexican food cooked with manteca can be. It’s a no frills serving area, but has come a long way from their yellow Formica booths, and they now have nice tables and chairs. Call in your order ahead of time and avoid the wait during the dinner hour. If you live nearby, I’m jealous, because you get to enjoy Rosarito’s on the regular.

The woman at the counter was VERY rude. I was trying to place my order and she kept yelling “what” and then would turn around to talk to her coworker in Spanish and laugh. Then turn back around yelling “what” again. I continued to remain calm because I had my son with me. I will NEVER EVER spend my money at this place.
