I would definitely recommend Roots. The unique dishes are refreshing for a town like Jonesboro, and if you don’t want to try something new, they have a large burger menu. The drinks are delicious and well made, with adorable glassware.

Located in the downtown district of Jonesboro, AR, this establishment is very small with an elegant cozy atmosphere. At Christmas time you see the Christmas lights of all the stores and apartment balconies from you table inside.

An overall lovely experience. The wait staff was knowledgeable and prompt; the food was incredible. I don’t know what magic (kidding, of course) was placed into the grits, but they were the best we have ever had. We will certainly be back!

I have eaten at this establishment several times and it has yet to disappoint. The food has always been delicious and they make excellent drinks as well. The menu is seasonal so it changes throughout the year, which I believe is a plus. I’ve had the hamburger at lunch, although I’m not sure if they do lunch hours any longer. The deviled egg, fried green tomatoes, hush boys, and octopus appetizers were all good. The steak (ribeye) was cooked perfectly and the hornado (pork leg) was excellent too. The seafood dishes are great, so I have been told. I even had the pleasure of eating food from this restaurant during a catered event and they were able to modify the dishes to meet my dietary restrictions.

Absolutely incredible!!! Ecuadorian-southern fusion! I loved every single bit of this meal! I’m from San Diego, was in town for business! I wish I could come here every week!!! Please support this business! The food is world class, service was exceptional, really great atmosphere. The servers/bartenders/hostess were all truly great hosts. Locally sourced food and flatware spoke right to my heart. Thank you for such a wonderful evening of beautiful soulful food and conversation.

This place is amazing! The atmosphere is very cozy and chic. The food was delicious. I had the steak and it was so tender. My wife loved the dish with shrimp and rice. We skipped the dessert because we were full, but that looked delicious as well. We will definitely recommend this to everyone and we will be back as well!

The food quality is not as good since the original owners/chefs left. The atmosphere is still lovely and our waitress was excellent, but the food was not good. The pork schnitzel had zero flavor, the grits were soured, the gravy was over salted, and the apple onion jam was boring.

We went last night for dinner and it was amazing. The staff was friendly and professional. The food was incredible. I’m not sure what kind of magic fairy dust they put in their food, but coming from someone who usually hates grits, they were great. Could not be happier with our experience.

We had a great experience tonight and will definitely be back. The staff is great. They are polite and explanatory about the unique and unfamiliar menu (and welcome questions). The food is exactly what Jonesboro needs: it features different flavors and amazing presentation. Plus the ambiance is probably the best in the city. I had a very different cocktail that I loved called the Manta —it’s worth a try. Would definitely recommend.
