Because of the reviews I went in with average expectations however our food was amazing! I got the pan seared salmon with brussel sprouts. I was extremely surprised at how great the flavor was and the crust was perfect. We also got the loaded bbq cheese fries as an appetizer and they also were extremely flavorful. I would recommend to anyone!

These burgers are fantastic – much better than I expected. I saw the reviews weren’t all that great so I was skeptical, but it was definitely worth giving it a shot. Their Beyond Burger was delicious, and tasted like meat. It was also a very thick, juicy patty. The burger came with an “onion and tomato jam”, which i had never heard of. I got it on the side. It tastes sweet (think actual jam), and I think the onions are caramelized so it doesn’t taste as strange as it sounds (also tastes good to dip your fries in). The buns are tasty brioche buns, and they add substantial texture to the burger, without taking away from the taste. It is definitely enough to fill you. The price is kinda steep ($15), but I would say I’m glad I did – you can taste the difference in quality. The Route 29 burger is also good ($15) – the sauce is a little spicy but not so spicy that it distracts from the taste of the burger.

we got to the hotel fairly late and the restaurant was about to close in 20 minutes or so and the waitress was very attentive and courteous and brought us refill drinks and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was breathtaking; very modern and cozy. The blue fireplace on the wall added to the comfortable ambience. The bartender was very friendly and very easy to talk to, he was very welcoming. My whole experience with the restaurant/ bar was excellent and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the Charlottesville area.

I’ve gotten breakfast multiple times while visiting the area and it’s been a consistent good breakfast. Quick, but not rushed. Decent value and relaxing before a days work .

The food was surprisingly delicious, my one critique would be that it was all just a little spicy except for the pretzel. We had the Root Burger, Blackened Chicken, Mushroom Alfredo, and Reuben. Wait staff was friendly and the prices were only a little high.

Salmon not so good, but bbq sandwich was really good. Service was fantastic. Clean, sterile, modern feeling lounge bar with table tops and some tables.

This restaurant has gone downhill since the renovation and turnover they did about six years ago. The breakfast menu and buffet are pretty good, but past that it’s lacking, especially for the price.

It’s a shame this restaurant is so well decorated with beautiful touches all around, however that is not enough to save the mediocre food and service. You can also tell when a place is dead on a Friday night that’s not a good sign, although granted it is in a hotel. Drinks were slow and the bar couldn’t make mocktales (or at least server didn’t know what it meant), burger was raw and had to be sent back, and had to ask for kids menu and crayons for 4-year-old (should be standard).

Was a great coffee spot on our way to Chapman’s Peak. The staff was friendly and the porch was so cute and inviting.

Resturant is located inside the double tree hotel. I had a nice seared salmon on grilled brussel sprouts. The bar is right there also so you could have a drink. Very fast service and food turn around. The restaurant does not currently serve deserts but will be starting I was told I’m March or April of 2023. The menu is limited but you have enough to choose from if you don’t want to go out and stay in the hotel.
