Enjoy watching people stand in a very long queue to pick up pre-ordered pizza, along with those wanting to place a pizza order, along with others wanting to buy drinks? You will get this at the Roost Beer Garden on Thursdays and Fridays. And when you finally get your pizza 20+ minutes after it was promised, you may need a guide to find pepperonis on the pepperoni pizza or the tomato & basil on a Margherita. The Margherita my sister ordered had nothing but cheese on it. My sister returned to the window and was initially told ‘those ingredients are all in the sauce’ and then…’oh, we forgot the basil’ so gave a small cup of basil to her. The music and environment are always great, so pick up a pizza at Capp’s, bring your own picnic basket/drinks and enjoy. The beers are great…if you can get your hands on them!

People who had been way behind us in line were getting their pizzas before us. When we finally got it 45 mins later, our pizza was charred black and tasted like charcoal. Awful experience.

Pizza decent, but they don’t follow their open hours they’ve established…so when you plan to go and they’re already closed 2 hours before closing time, you’ve been warned. Better just get Capps takeout from down the street and eat in your backyard…

Great wood-fired pizzas. Sometimes live music. Lovely patio. Only issue is it can be hard to know when they’re open.

Such a cute neighborhood. Great atmosphere. You sit outside on a patio. Order at a window at a little house. Fountain. Live music. Friday and Saturday evening only. Come early because tables fill up fast. The pizza is delicious! One pizza feeds two people. Cost is $13-18. I loved the Margherita Pizza.

Great environment. Get there early to get a spot in the shade. Pizza is fine. Beer is cold. Music was nice. Not too loud, but loud enough.

The pizza is tasty but the place gets pretty backed up when it is busy. The live music helps the time pass, though. Both red and white sauces are offered, with a variety of toppings. They have been willing to make my pizza without cheese but do not accommodate substitutions. If you visit on a Friday or Saturday evening when the weather is nice you may find it difficult to find an open table. If that’s the case you can always get your pizza to go. Several craft beers are on tap and there is also a selection of wines. Non-alcoholic beverages are available as well.

Roost Beer Garden is a casual outdoor area in the heart of Fearrington Village. It is a beautiful place to enjoy pizza, beer and live music. We ordered pizza and beer inside and when your order is ready , the buzzer rings and you pick up the pizza from the window of the little house. The pizza is made fresh and the chicken pizza and honey crust was fantastic. The beer and wine here is served in plastic cups so if you want a real wine glass, get it at the Goat and bring it over. There was live acoustic guitar and people were sitting outside enjoying the beautiful weather and scenery. I highly recommend getting a pizza.

The village where this beer garden is really nice. However, the entire place goes to sleep at 8-9pm. The Beer Garden is an okay place. I haven’t tried their beer but there didn’t seem to be a great variety. I haven’t eaten their pizza either, but it looked delicious. I tried their red wine, which was alright. Serving it in plastic cups was priceless though.

I love this outdoor, low-key venue. Great beer and wood-fired pizza in the Roost. I love to hear Tommy Edwards play out front. There’s plenty of umbrella covered and tent covered tables and we often just put a blanket on the grass so we can stretch out.
