I wish I could leave a separate review for the employees because they were wonderful and helpful. They get 5 stars. As for the actual food it was a giant disappointment. The wings are ridiculously tiny and barely have any sauce on them or any flavor. And for 18 wings you get 1 small dipping cup of ranch that isn’t even 1/2 full. And they charge 99 cents for each additional less than 1/2 full ranch. Whoever owns this place needs to stop ripping people off because I paid over $24 and the. Had to pay and additional 7 dollars for some freaking dipping sauce. You can see in the pictures it was a joke of a dinner. The pictures they post on Facebook must be of another restaurant’s food. Save your money. Taco Bell sells bigger wings.

Finally a decent wing place in NW Huntsville! Rookiez is conveniently located in Monrovia across from the elementary school. The wings and fries were both served hot and fresh. There are several sauces to choose from for the wings as well as many different topping options for the fries. We got the ranch and cheese on the fries and it did not disappoint! I definitely recommend calling your order in ahead of time and checking it for accuracy before leaving. The prep time was a good 20-30 minutes. There is some seating inside. When we went there were limited drink options: canned Dr. Pepper or the house punch.

Horrendous customer service. I placed my order online and it was supposed to be ready in 18 minutes. 45 minutes later, it hadn’t even been started. I was standing there for 15 minutes with 5 other people without anyone even acknowledging our presence. He brought out one order which immediately tipped over and fell all over the counter. I never got my order. Oh, and their smoke detectors were chirping the whole time. Worst run restaurant I’ve ever seen.

Just received my delivery from rookies I must say….. I ordered a 24 piece and some sides. The wings are smaller than average, very small to be precise. I received AT LEAST 45 wings to make up for the size difference. I couldn’t be more happy. These wings are delicious as well as the fries and okra. Will definitely order again!!! Thanks Rookiez!! Btw what happened at the university location?

Disappointed. Ordered delivery through DoorDash and although delivery was fast, the food was not impressive. The boneless wings had little to no breading. They were basically sauce coated chunks of chicken. The fried green tomatoes were good, but not good enough to make me want to try this place again.

I ordered close to closing time. These wings had a great flavor! Got the hot flavor. Came out in a fairly timely manner. They seemed cooked just right to me. There doesn’t seem to currently be any AC problems. Cashier Matthew was nice. I definitely will try them again.

I patronize Rookiez Wings quite frequently, particularly the one on University when it was open. Always receiving amazing customer service and the food being ready when I arrived. Yesterday, I decided I wanted Rookiez for dinner and decided to call the Jeff Rd location. I should’ve have known what was in store when I had to call the location SEVEN times prior to receiving an answer. Not only did I call seven times but somewhere in between the calls, I called the Hazel Green location to affirm I had the correct number. The lady that answered was kind, confirmed that I was calling the correct number and told me to call again and if I didn’t receive an answer for me to call her back and she would see what she could do. I attempted to call the Jeff Rd location and finally received an answered. A man answered, I completed my ordered and he responded with “Come get it” I was taken back, but replied “Ok, thank you” and sent my husband. Upon arrival, the food was not ready but he waited patiently. When the food was ready, my husband asked the man about the drinks, to where the man responded saying “they don’t come with drinks”. As I stated in the very beginning, I frequent Rookiez often and have always gotta a drink with my 12 piece wing combo just as it states on their online menu. My husband felt as if the man had a bad attitude and kept mumbling things under his breath so he decided to count our losses and let the drinks go. While the food was good and hot, I have never experience such lack luster customer service at this business before. It was very saddening. I don’t wanna give up on Rookiez but I certainly know I won’t be back anytime soon.
