Rockford Brewery is right along the White Pine Trail. It was the perfect spot to stop for a drink and some food after an 8 mile bike ride. The beer was good and the cheese curds were melt in your mouth delicious.

Nice local place. Can do flights or single pours. Liked everything we tried. As far as food goes, get the mac even if you’re a backseat fan of mac n cheese, it’s really good. Good service and a great place to chill for a bit before heading back out to explore downtown Rockford!

I wanted to love this place but it was super disappointing. I ordered two veggie tacos ($7 per) – they came with maybe 2 TBSP of filling in each. Our waitress acknowledged that they were small portion sizes but that “tacos are not her department”. I also ordered three kids meals, the flat bread pizzas looked as though they had been tossed around in an oversized pizza box and had big chunks of onion in the marinara sauce which does not go over well with a kid who was banking on a simple cheese pizza for dinner.

This review comes with utter sadness, shock, and disappointment. What once was a passionate establishment with alluring goals, top-notch quality standards, and well-thought-out beer options – is nothing more than a fast food joint with a Rockford price tag.

The value for cost just isn’t there with better quality at lower cost quite literally a stone’s throw away. The portions are remarkably small and overpriced. I ordered the tacos at $7 PER TACO WITH NO SIDES and even the server commented on how small the portions were and that customers often complained. Sadly, we would come here during COVID just to support local restaurants by buying everything from food to tee-shirts but they’ve really lowered their standards since then. Rockford is seeing a lot of market turnover lately so perhaps management will adjust or someone will help them along the way.
