Founded in March of 2018, Rock Paper Taco is a local company here to provide good tacos at a low price. Located at Tin Roof Brewery, we are the perfect place to grab some tacos and a beer after work or on the weekends. All tacos are named after the streets we all drive every day, as we started this for the people of Baton Rouge. Only using the freshest ingredients, we look to serve people with the perfect taco. Trying to bring the food truck scene back to Baton Rouge, we are open six days a week slinging tacos to whoever comes our way. With special events such as Taco Tuesday and Yoga Wednesdays happening every week, there are plenty of opportunities for people to come experience our work. Remember, Taco always wins!

Went out to eat with my wife on our traditional Sunday lunch date, and it was my turn to choose the restaurant and i chose a spot I’ve never been before, Rock, Paper Taco. When we walked in, it wasn’t packed, but it was slightly busy. The hostess and other waitresses said, “They’ll be with us in a few,” which we appreciated, and it was only about 2-3 mins of waiting.

First time trying this place out. I had the Mahi Mahi bowl. It was okay, not great. My friend got 2 tacos. The Shark and The pirate. They were average. We also had the Chips and quad appetizer. The salsa isn’t great nor the corn salsa stuff. We enjoyed the cheese and guac. Drinks were good, however. That may be the best part of this place. I couldn’t try any as I had to drive an hour back home but if I ever returned here, it would just be to drink.

Tried for the 1st time on a Sunday, and that will be the only time I ever go there. Food was bland, like no seasoning at all. Salsa was not good, and even the ground meat and queso on nachos was 0 seasoning. When our entrees arrived they were cold. My 3 yr old son didn’t even eat his food. We all took one bite and asked for the check. Didn’t even bother asking for something else bc if nothing was seasoned, then replacing with more unseasoned food was pointless. Service was underwhelming and the waitress took long periods before checking back on us. The only positive was the place was clean and had a big bar with a variety of alcohol. I had a margarita and it was ok.

I visited this place after my 3 mile walk. Customer set was good. It took 26 minutes for my food to arrive to me. It wasn’t hot. Tortillas were chewy. My waffle taco wasn’t completely done. Overall the food I did not enjoy.

Updated review: Always willing to go BR a restaurant a second chance! The menu changed from my last visit, and I opted to snack on their quad sampler appetizer as my meal. Included was their corn relish (sweet taste) along with salsa, guacamole and queso. The portions were small but filling by the time you eat all four. Taste was fresh and good flavor all around, so I am upgrading my review to be fair to their restaurant! The waiter (Brennan) made the visit delightful. Love me an engaging waiter!

For some reason I’ve never seen many people here but the food is fantastic and the beer selection is nice too. Recommend the chicken waffle taco and the taquitos!!! Nice spot to hit right after hitting the skatepark

Menu is great, original and so is the food. The food and overall environment really deserve 5 stars but the super sticky dirty table with someones hair stuck to it kinda knocked it back i had to ask to ask twice for it to kindly be wiped off. Still not enough to stop me from trying again, I will come back for the food!

I ordered…The Boom, The Shark, The Dynamite. One thing I’d like to suggest for the restaurant is that the Dynamite needs more sauce and for the chicken to be more of a strip shape to be easier to eat. I’m a small person and the 3 taco combo was ALOT! You’d definitely be full with 2 tacos. The cookie dough taquitos are also huge! Everything tasted really good and was really worth it 🙂

By far one of my favorite places to go. Every time I come here the vibes are immaculate. The worse part of Baton Rouge is the service but when you step into this establishment you feel like you’re at a 5 star New York restaurant because of how good the service is. Our servers were Dom the Bar Manager (props for him actually doing everything and not just sitting around) and Jake the bartender. I got the Paper Tacos and they were delicious. The best thing I can recommend from this place is the Queso. Literally the best you’d find in all of Louisiana. If you’re in the area and have time, you HAVE to try this place out.

While the waitress was okay. The food was barely warm. The guacamole we ordered was the best thing served to us. The employees seemed as if they did not want to be there. They did not mind us hearing how much they did not want to be there. I saw a gentleman come in and sit at the bar for about 5 minutes. The bartender was on the phone and the 2 employees from the back of the house just stood there and ignored him until he left . Great concept for a taco bar but unless they get control of the employees, I do not see this place lasting much longer.
