I had high expectations but the food was just ok. This was our second time here. The first was before covid and I remember I had a great dinner with great service. But this time I thought the menu was more catered to a lunch crowd than dinner and there wasn’t much standing out. My Tilapia was greasy and I added the grilled asparagus on for $3.50 and received 5 little stalks. I also ordered a Ol Fashioned which was described as “made the right way” but I had so much pulp at the bottom of my glass that I wondered how exactly is that right? The one highlight was the broth the Bayou Shrimp came served in. The shrimp was a little over but the Frank’s based broth was delicious. We chose this place to celebrate our 5 year anniversary but I wish we had went somewhere else.

Just had a great meal at Robbie’s and felt compelled to share our experience. We’ve been patrons for a long time, but the place always feels welcome, warm, and intimate; like eating in a private art gallery. The Bruschetta appetizer is our favorite. But the star tonight was the special: Bacon wrapped pork loin with bama white bbq sauce. Rodney, that was an inspired dish!! So nice to be able to get a nice glass of Colonel E.H. Taylor Bourbon (only 2 or 3 places in town have it) to enjoy, and the spiced peach honey drizzled cheese cake with iced cream topped with whipped cream wasn’t a bad way to end the meal. It’s so nice to have a fun place with such good food and drink in Decatur!

Robbie’s is an excellent restaurant with friendly staff and prompt service. We usually come on Friday because the menu changes each week. The atmosphere in this restaurant is a one of a kind experience and I love how they keep the lighting low because it makes the experience more intimate. We have been here multiple times and everything we have ever ordered has been delicious. From this trip, we had the filet with bernaise sauce and their Cajun meatloaf with green beans and smashed potatoes. Both were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Will return to this restaurant soon.
