I feel after the 3rd visit in just over a week and ordering something different each time, it’s time for a review. My first trip, I ordered the Barbacoa Torta Dip with sweet potatator tots. The sesame panini was crispy and meat stacked inside. The dipping sauce was great. I could have drank it from the cup! The thing about using sweet potatoes is they can easily get burnt or be soft. These tots were perfectly cooked and slightly crispy. My next visit I got the chef’s roast beast! Another good choice! The roast beef was tender. Today, I got the top requested general Tso’s Bahn MI. Wow, this was the best yet. If you co.e here, get it. 1/4″ thick bacon, crispy chicken, jalapeños, peanuts, and a bunch of yum.

My favorite restaurant in Moore county. So many options (including vegetarian) and the Owner/Chef Matt’s passion for food shows through in all of his creative combinations. Incredible service and local feel. The menu has staples and temporary rotating items. Ingredients are fresh and high quality. Highly recommend.

Good food and great workers, but the owner/manager was hanging around the cash register area and talking out loud on the phone while loudly chewing somebody out. Since the place is basically one giant room, definitely didn’t contribute to a feeling that I should stay. I really loved the menu and the workers I interacted with, but incredibly saddened if the workers are subject to this everyday. I shouldn’t have to hear somebody get threatened with termination while giving my order to the sweet older lady at the till. LOVED her so much, she really embodied hospitality for me, she deserves a raise. Couldn’t remember her name, but she was manning the register 4/27 at dinner time 🙂

Hands down the best no Crab, CRAB Cake… The reason why 1 star is deducted, is because for the price $$ there is no side included with the sandwich.! Consider adding homemade chips, or sliced celery, something!!!!

My wife and I have been to Roast a couple of times now and have been pleasantly surprised each time. Friendly service and atmosphere, clean and ultimately a great farm to table food experience. They use fresh ingredients sourced locally that give each dish that fresh taste and make your feel like you’re giving back to the community. The sauce with the barbacoa torta is a must try!

I knew of Roast’s commitment to locally sourced ingredients and innovative cuisine; yet I was still so very impressed with the unique and delicious offerings. The shop was spotlessly clean and cheerful. The staff was friendly and helpful. I came for the Peruvian pork-belly tacos and also had the maple apple slaw and sweet potato tots. Then I was rewarded with a to-die-for salted caramel brownie. Everything was just amazing! And even the bottled water was locally sourced. Roast also serves wine and beer. There is a lighted patio with entertainment, as well. I live two hours away but I will definitely be back! No wonder they were named the Best New Restaurant in 2021.

Roast is Moore County’s best kept secret! The delicious food, friendly and accommodating staff, and incredibly talented chef whose attention to detail and love for the community are evident make it the perfect place to enjoy lunch or dinner and support local! I had the Chef’s Roast Beef and sweet potato tater tots. There are loads of great options, including vegan, gluten free, etc. I’ll be going back and telling my friends!

We just moved to the area and really love this place! Not just regular sandwiches. Very hearty, healthy, and taste great! We have been here several times now in a very short period of time. The owner is very nice and great service!

First time visit. Had heard great things. Ordered to go. Not realizing there was a pick up area, I got in line and waited my turn. When I stated my order to go and cashier simply pointed to the pick up area. I thanked him and walked 10 feet, restated my name and to go status and was handed my bag without a thank you, have a good day or kiss my behind. I mean come on folks. You are not a chain restaurant. And this is the South. Let’s show some friendly hospitality and thank people for coming out. They didn’t have to. Food was good though so I will be back. Just a little disappointed.

The Farm to table selections are so good it’s hard to pick just one! The hospitality and presentation put into each dish is second to none. Can’t wait to go back again and again.
