Yesterday evening, I ordered 15 pieces of whiting, 20 medium shrimp and an order of fries. I also ordered a slice of red velvet cake. I placed the order late in the evening and picked up around 8:30pm. By the time I got home, the food was still hot but upon biting the shrimp, I was immediately put off by a foul odor. The shrimp were also overcooked. The fish was not only under-seasoned, it was hard and rubbery. The cake was very dry. By the time everyone in my family started eating, it was 9pm and the restaurant had closed and wouldn’t reopen until today at noon. I refrigerated the rest of the food.

The food was terrible. When I walked in I wanted to walk right out but I wanted to try the food because I always pass it. Well I wasted my 12 dollars and lunch break for the most disgusting thing to cross my lips. How you don’t give out bread with a fish combo?I wish I could give this place a negative enfinity.

I think the owners sold the place…. At least that’s what I’m hoping because YIKES I went there once in 2021 with my sister and niece food was AUTHENTIC and bomb… fast fwd to 2023…. Yeahhhhh idk what I ate idek if the fish they served us was really catfish…..

It was so nasty omg I waited 1 hours for this food that had no taste the macaroni and cheese was out of a box. The neckbones was water down with no seasoning, and all of the food was nasty so don’t waste your time. Coming here we had gumbo smothered pork chops oxtails in the cornbread had no sugar in it it was all so nasty. Please don’t waste your money and your time.

I ordered from postmates because I was craving some authentic soulful Mac n cheese. This place was open and reviews were okay. I should’ve listened to the ones about the Mac n cheese. It tastes like the cheese is powdered from the box. Very disappointing. The other food was okay. I got the vegetarian meal which is basically 4 sides. The ones I chose were Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, yams, and dressing. It isn’t that it’s nasty, it just all tastes like a fast food version of soul food. I guess it has a market, but just not what I wanted.

I wish I would’ve read this before ordering. THEE WORST FOOD EVER!! Gumbo had shrimp tails no shrimp. Mac n cheese is NASTY. Never again.

OK where do I start with this place 1st of all the location is cool parking lot was clean when you walk in the establishment is clean didn’t get too much of a greeting the food overall bland Nothing was cooked fresh but maybe the eggs I ordered gravy and biscuits it was Brown bravey I ordered catfish grits and eggs the grits were left over grapes the catfish was not real catfish then I ordered an oxtail dinner The ox tails was old not fresh drowning gravy Macaroni and cheese taste like water and the Greens was alright Still have a soccer toomey cake and a lemon cake scare to taste very disappointed

Very very DISAPPOINTED!!!! Mac N cheese is HORRIBLE!!! Gravy for turkey wings was water, yam’s TERRIBLE!!! How they stay in business is beyond me I can’t believe that I spent $35. Here the food is NASTY!!! I absolutely did not finish it…. Peach cobbler is disgusting I have the whole container of food left as well as the peach cobbler smdh!!! Really ridiculous, for real!!!!
