Cool old-fashioned greasy spoon in an area of South City you would never expect. In the transition zone between residential and river related industrial. Gives a vibe of a different place and time. Inside isn’t much to write about, but does add to the vibe in it’s historical accents and quaintness.

Proof not to judge a book by its cover. From the outside it looks mehh. But inside is a different story. It’s quaint and homey and perfect! It’s the definition of a diamond in the rough! Keep doing what you do! ❤️

If you like a small local family run diner, you’ll love this place. Doesn’t look like much on the outside, infact wasn’t sure we were at the right place but it is a cute little diner. Be sure to check hours of operation and go early. We went on a Sunday at 10am and had to wait 45min. Food was excellent. All items we ordered, Biscuits and gravy, omelette, pancakes, and ham were great. Server and atmosphere friendly. We will for sure go back!

MJ and I went there for a Sunday Brunch. We were not disappointed. It is an out of the way spot but it was packed. We had to wait maybe 30 minutes. The reason was the food. Simply it was delicious. We both had pork chops, eggs, and biscuits. The server also gave us a small sample of hash browns. That was quite tasty, as was the whole brunch.

I visited this place after reading the reviews and this place is a hidden jewel. The service was outstanding, we were greeted and seated right away with friendly smiles. It has a homey atmosphere, even the patrons were friendly. I had the pork chops and potatoes. The seasoning on the potatoes was very flavorful and the pork chops were moist and delicious. There was three of us in my party and we all came away truly satisfied. Definitely coming back!

This is my go to breakfast/lunch spot on the weekend. I love everything I have gotten there, from Eggs & Bacon to fresh salads. The people that make this establishment move, actually care & it shows. My addiction started with their amazing Monte Cristo sandwich & evolved from there. You may have to wait on the weekends, if they are busy, but it is always worth it.

Waited 1 hour to get a table then waited another hour for our breakfast order. Employees were friendly but clearly stressed and overloaded. There were multiple to go orders pushed through while me and my boyfriend waited in our car and at least 5 more pushed through and out the door while we waited for our eggs. The food was decent but not worth the 2 hour wait. Maybe it was just a bad day for the Riverside Diner because the other reviews are outstanding but we won’t be traveling back from the Illinois side anytime soon

Small hometown diner. Very clean, great food. We got the last table. We invited an older couple to join us so they didn’t have to stand and wait for an open table. Saw a lot of take out orders leave while we ate. We will go back again if we make it back to the area.

Great neighborhood diner serving my favorites: veggie omlette, rye toast, great bacon, breakfast country potatoes. All at a very reasonable price. Attentive service. My friend & I will be back!

First time visit today, don’t know how this place has escaped us until now! Very friendly service, we sat down next to a large table of St. Louis city police officers, so we knew the food was likely to be outstanding, and it did not disappoint! These guys generally know where the good food is! I had a special that was sausage, eggs, sausage, gravy, over a bed of hashbrowns with a biscuit on the side. Well seasoned hashbrowns that were very crispy, obviously housemade sausage gravy and if the biscuit wasn’t housemade, it was high-quality store-bought very fluffy! My wife had their version of a breakfast sandwich and she was very pleased with it as well. High quality coffee with timely refills loved the old school diner vibe. We will definitely make this part of our breakfast rotation!
