Food is good. Service is also good and very down to earth. But definitely not. 4.8. it appears to be a local favorite and the atmosphere is also very local. Pancakes were good, we still prefer P.J. pipers for pancakes. We liked the bacon a lot. The hash browns and the eggs were also but not out of this world. The toast was quite good too. For the price it was pretty good. Cash only thank you the other reviewers. I think I would enjoy it more if the whole environment was slightly cleaner….it was definitely very down to earth and really didn’t seem too clean which affected our experience.

Food was excellent. Will definitely eat here again. It was very busy which I consider a good sign. The restaurant itself is pretty tight with tables close together. Service was efficient. Cash or check only.

Rivers Edge (or the Truck Stop as we like to call it) is one of our favorite breakfast joints to eat at in Ozaukee County. The staff are all very friendly and food is out in a timely fashion. Corned beef hash or the biscuits and gravy are my go-to dishes. The U shaped dining bar is awesome!

I would go here every day if I could. It’s greasy spoon, with alot of homemade goodness. I’m positive the gravy is homemade, the white toast IS, and the portions are massive for the price. We had the smoked pork chop breakfast, Reuben omelet with a side of sausage gravy and patty melt, haha. With an amazing piece of homemade coconut cream pie and 2 beverages, our total was $39. We already know we’re getting Benedict and country fried steak next time. Our server was also our cook, as all the staff serves and cooks. The owner is really friendly and attentive. If you don’t like a diner, don’t go. But if you do, be there when they open at 430 am!

Best breakfast in the state! Homemade bread and pies, thick-cut local bacon and the best hash browns with cheese & onion that I’ve ever had. It’s so good there’s usually a line of people waiting to get in.

A great place to start the day with a hearty, traditional breakfast. Hard to go wrong with anything on the menu. Service is awesome. Seating is first-come, first-seated (no reservations) but tables generally turn over quickly. Parties over four people can be challenging without some planning. Cash only.
