It was good. There is quite a variety of food on the menu in case you are looking beyond Mexican cuisine. The tortilla soup was delicious and my favorite part of the meal. My taco meat was a little greasy on my salad which was a negative. But it was still edible. The brisket burrito was huge and full of brisket, with no fillers. It was a lot of meat and needed some variety in flavors. So it could have used some beans or rice or something to give it flavor or texture.

Rivers’s is located in the heart of downtown Princeton, TX. It’s location used to be the old bank. The food is absolutely yummy, refreshing and gives you a splash of something unique from all those chain food Tex-Mex restaurants.

The food was decent, the menu has several unique dishes and the one I ordered was yummy but later in the night I had a bad stomach ache. The salsa wasn’t the best and the chips seemed stale.

They nickel and dime you. Food is pretty good but service can be iffy. You have to flag them down every time you need anything. They don’t just stop by and check on you. You get one small bowl of chips and salsa free but if you need more they charge $2.00 PER BOWL! They’re small bowls too. I asked for lime with my meal and got 3 lime wedges and was charged .50 cents. Yes it’s not much but definitely nickel and dime-ing people. There’s really no need they’re not hurting for business. We go here several times a month but we’ll probably cut down to once here and there because of all the extra charges and so so service.

When I opened my menu, a bunch of chips fell out all over the table and my lap. Everything was bitter, and the salsa tasted watered down and off. The food was slightly warm when we got it, the eggs were overcooked, and the tortillas were dry.

I have been waiting for this place to open. It’s right in my little home town. It’s a much needed restaurant with not many other options around other than fast food. They have separate locations from what I hear, so they aren’t new to the restaurant business.

A good Mexican Restaurant in the heart of the older Main Street area of Princeton. Independently owned, with authentic food and good service. However, some updating of an older building and interior would be helpful. A local favorite worth visiting.

Food was good beans were a little heavy on the salt but other than that perfect. Good service this place is a win for Princeton. Seen two people order what looked like a fajitas bowls they looked delicious will definitely try that next time.

The food is good but might need more staff to improve service. It’s a good choice for fast Mexican food.
