I dug it but not the best, and coleslaw, which can really make or break a good pulled pork sandwich, was def subpar. I like the location, however, and the spartanness and the low key family owned vibe. However the smell of the smoker is probably the overall best.

The brisket taste like pot roast, this is way over priced… had they 50/50 and it just wasn’t bad but it wasn’t something I would die for.. I can skip on this place… there is jus grease everywhere and yeah… the bake beans kinda spicy but no real flavor… y’all can skip this one

The most flavorless BBQ I’ve ever had, including the sauce. The pulled pork sandwich doesn’t even taste smoked, it just taste like pork that’s been cooked slow all day in a crock pot with no fat. They put a bun on the plate and expect you to put your own pork on there. They wanted to charge me an extra $3 to have some coleslaw on top of the pulled pork sandwich that was already $8.25. Definitely never coming back to this place and I can’t believe this place has more than a two star average. There must be no other barbecue places for many miles.

Stumbled upon River Road BBQ. We got the 50/50 Brisket and pulled pork sandwich, Chopped chicken sandwich, and potato salad. 50/50 was very tasty, chicken was a bit too peppery. Potato salad was ok. Service was friendly and fast.

Really nice BBQ restaurant. Just had a walk by because of curiosity of the front display of equipment and the smell from the BBQ got me hooked. I ordered the BBQ beans and the large rib plate. It was tender and full of flavor. Beans had brisket meat in it; I think also great choice. Best thing was how the sauce was awesome, great flavor. I should have purchased a bottle to take home. From Cleveland Ohio visiting and I been in Gatlinburg Tennessee for BBQ at Bennett’s but this here place in Louisville to me is in the lead. The only thing I would critic is the sauce is thin, runs off the rib. Awesome flavor but if you thicken it a bit, it be double awesome. Trying to figure what’s in it for my home use. Love it . 5 star and recommend.
