I’ve been to Savannah before several times and have been on the riverfront and been to many areas around the city. I had never been here before. I was in Savannah for the day visiting the city and I looked online for places with good crab cakes and they were on the list. The menu sounded good so I tried it. The service was great. The crab cake and salad and sauces were so good. I really liked the location and the atmosphere. I would definitely come here again. I can’t wait to come back hopefully soon

The luxurious decor and professionalism is definitely a place to visit for a special occasions. I love the theme of like a rustic cabin. The food was average. I had pecan encrusted salmon with mashed sweet potatoes and collard greens. And to top it off with their Georgia peach margarita the margarita was delicious but the meal was not. The salmon needed more seasoning the pecan sauce definitely didn’t give it flavor. The mashed sweet potatoes was great but the collard greens although had pork in it still lacked flavor far as seasoning. My boyfriend had the southern fried chicken and macaroni that he enjoyed. Definitely friendly staff but the food could do better for the price.

This is a very busy restaurant located on a very busy road. We didn’t wait in line, but all of the customers who came after us had to wait in line. Our waitress was very lively, friendly and courteous. Service was a bit slow because it was a busy weekend. The food was great and I loved the cocktail as well. The weather was very hot, but eating outside made the atmosphere more pleasant and tasteful!

Enjoyed a delicious dinner while vacationing in HHI! We always do a day in Savannah and were looking for a restaurant on River Street. This one did not disappoint! The hostess and server were absolutely wonderful and friendly! The food was amazing! Purple crab salad and oyster po boy for dinner. Awesome food, service, and can’t beat that view by the water!

I am giving this place a one-star review because of the hair that was in my food. I ordered the fried fish platter and there was hair fried into the batter with the fish. There wasn’t anything offered complimentary.

Dined for dinner as a table of 4 on a Saturday night. Service was personable and prompt throughout the entire night. 2 of us ordered soup to share, 2 of us ordered the pretzel with cheese. Both were really great, the soup was better than expected. I ordered the swordfish, it came out extremely dry so I unfortunately had to send it back but my replacement plate was prompt and the manager was apologetic and made sure the next one was perfect. The seafood pasta was amazing, we all had to try it! Crab cakes looked great, our friend was very pleased. Shrimp and grits were good, but our friend wish he had known it was tomato heavy. Overall, we all really enjoyed our meals and the service we received. Would definitely recommend!

River House Seafood has something for everyone! We booked our reservation after seeing their extensive menu. Great options to accommodate dietary restrictions! Calamari, crab cakes, and fried green tomatoes to start. The tomatoes were forgotten. By the time we realized they were missing we decided to skip them. We also had the Caesar salad, filet and the iron skillet blackened mahi. The food was good but could have used a little extra flavor. The key lime pie was to die for!! A fantastic way to end the meal. Make sure to order a slice! The manager made it a point to visit every table to make sure everyone was having an enjoyable time. I always appreciate seeing a business go the extra mile for its patrons!

Excellent French onion, soup, and mahi-mahi. Fish was fresh and pan fried just right. Asparagus and mac & cheese was also tasty. The portions aren’t huge but we did not come out hungry either. Excellent service. Our waiter was also the bartender. Relaxing and a good place to take a date. No wait when we arrived about 530.
