Rito’s Mexican Food is celebrating 45 years of business this year and we could not be more excited about the future as a company. What began as a neighborhood convenience store within the Garfield Historic Neighborhood quickly found itself selling more burritos and tacos from its limited to go only kitchen, than grocery goods. To that end, Rito and Rosemary Salinas decided to pivot the Rito’s concept into a take out only Mexican Food establishment that has served the Valley Of The Sun time honored family recipes spanning generations. Like a true family owned business Charlotte works along side her sister, nieces, nephews, sons and long time staff some of whom have been with the company over 30 years.

This is a must try if you haven’t. The location is a takeover of an old family restaurant that was a favorite of mine since the 80s, and Rito’s is now a new favorite. The remodel is simple but extremely effective. The food is phenomenal, and the Margaritas will have you wanting to try new flavors. I’d recommend a flight.

Amazing new location in the old Matta’s. Food was good and tastes just like the other locations. It’s a great addition to the east valley mexican food options. The staff was awesome and so nice.

I came in for the first time today. They accommodated my and my service dog very well. Started with a cold beer and chips and salsa. I ordered the chimichanga with shredded chicken. The tortilla was deep fried crisp and not a bit greasy. It was packed with chicken, tomatoes, guacamole and cheese and sour cream on top. The two salsas had really good flavor. My server Kelcie was very attentive and Britini the manager checked on us to assure everything good. Great experience!

I visited with my wife on a Friday evening. We waited a few minutes to be seated. Upon recommendation from the server I ordered the green Chile burrito. We had to ask for chips and salsa. Environment is unique and pleasant. Water had a strong tap flavor to it. All sides and burrito toppings were pricey. By itself, burrito is $11. But with toppings and rice and beans price is closer to $22. Burrito was good enough but not worth that price. Other places offer better offers.

Such a neat place!! We drove by the location in Mesa Riverview and then came back for dinner a few days later. Incredible ambiance in the restaurant, the food was the best Mexican food I think we’ve ever had, and Alex behind the bar was extremely knowledgeable of the history of the restaurant, quick to serve, and outgoing. We will definitely be back often!! So excited to have such a neat restaurant in the neighborhood.

As a Rito’s loyalist, I have to be honest. I didn’t know what to expect checking out their new location in Mesa.

What a lovely hidden gem right here in Mesa! Such a great vibe of a place and delicious food and drinks!!! Can’t go wrong with anything on their menu!!! I’m usually not a big fan of Mexican food but they are really changing my mind! Their shredded beef tacos, bean, and rice is made of love and flavor. Legit I come here every Friday. The bartenders and servers are so friendly and personable. I have already met the owner and some of her family and they are just such wonderful people. If you want to come to a place that makes you feel like family including the food, come here.

Visited during the SOFT opening and will try again at some point. The interior is bright and beautifully decorated but the food and service is what you go for, right? I had the chicken enchilada with red sauce and enjoyed that a lot. Chicken was juicy and tender and there was a good amount of delicious cheese on top.

We just found this little gem in our backyard! They have been amazing accommodating our group of 6 or 7! The place is very clean, drink menu is a bit small but the Chicken enchiladas are to die for! This place is really good and I would rate it more adult dining. The portions are good size!
