This was such a delightful find. We had the bruschetta to start and then the lobster ravioli and the veal, which were both perfect. Our waitress recommended an amazing red wine and we both had dessert, too – tiramisu and cannolis along with a cappuccino. Everything was delicious. One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend

We typically try to stay away from downtown because of how hard it is to find parking (even lots are totally filled up especially on weekend nights), BUT we have wanted to try this place for some time…and so glad that we did! We were able to get seated on the patio, which was just enchanting and romantic. Just a heads up, it is a little hard to find if you’re not familiar with Little Italy, but just look out for a narrow entrance as you follow your Google maps.

Swung by Little Italy for dinner while in San Diego for work. Walked by Ristorante Illando and it just smelled delicious. Service was very friendly and fast. Gnocchi was fantastic. All of them were cooked just right and the ragu meat sauce had a really great depth of flavor.

small but intimate atmosphere, entrance is easy to miss, it’s basically just a set of stairs. in the heart of little Italy so can be hard to navigate here during peak hours. highly recommend the short rib tortellini though portions are small.

We topped our 4 day stay in little Italy with a visit to Ristorante Illando. We ordered the carbonara, gnocchi al ragu, and the lasagna. Fast, friendly service in a quaint upstairs establishment. The best part was the neverending supply of cold water. Touring SD will dry you out fast. Stay hydrated my friends, and, definitely make a reservation

Like others have said, hidden gem. The food was fantastic. The service was great. I walked by the door twice before I saw it, the pizza place on the main floor definitely grabs your attention first. Keep looking and you will find it.

Fantastic!! Looked online and booked same evening reservation for a Saturday night! The food was outstanding!! Some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had (including in Italy). We had calamari, lobster ravioli and the tortellini Al brasato (short rib & sage) and everything was to die for. The house made bread with olive oil & balsamic was also delicious.

My partner and I had a wonderful dining experience here! They were open late, had warm staff, and a beautiful and intimate atmosphere. The food was delicious and I appreciated that they had a gluten free pasta substitution too. I would definitely recommend!

One of the best Italian dinners I’ve had outside of Italy. The staff was friendly, attentive and affectionate with our party. They provided first class service that accompanied delicious meals.
