The Ristorante Carmelo had really good Italian food. Not the greatest ever but good solid Italian. The staff are friendly and very attentive. The dishes are varied, good and served piping hot. The wine list is also impressive. The interior and exterior are inviting and the decor is nice. They offer indoor and outdoor seating with a pavilion and a live band. Definitely worth a visit.

This was a delicious restaurant with great service! The only drawback was the atmosphere felt more cafeteria like than date night. The atmosphere did not fit the prices of the food. It was very loud and hard to hear my partner just across the table. We sat in the back dining room. And I noticed the front dining room was also loud.

My husband and I enjoyed ourselves and the food was delicious. The pasta a bit heavy. If you don’t like olives ask about your dishes as some of the descriptions don’t mention them. But it was all around very good. My husband wasn’t a fan of the marinara/tomato sauce as it didn’t have a lot of flavor other than tomato.

The other night we decided we wanted to have Italian food so I looked up places I never been to before. This location just opened so we decided to try it out. Let me just say from the atmosphere to the service and the food it was great! We had an awesome server named Sean and he recommended his favorites on the menu. The pasta and sauces are homemade. One of the best Italian places I’ve ever been to!

This is a great addition for Orange Beach. I was surprised to see such an upscale restaurant in a strip mall. Casual yet sophisticated they offer a wide range of dishes and have a very nice bar. I had a cocktail at the bar while waiting for my carryout. Which came quickly. We did not eat in but the carryout was delicious. We shared a Carmelo salad, the lasagna Carmelo and the Maccheroni Amatriciana which is a fabulous pasta dish. All were well presented, even in carryout containers!

Everything on the menu looked delicious so I told server Derrick to get chef Dale to give me whatever seafood dish he wanted to prepare me. This is what he came back with. One of the best dishes I have ever had in my life. We were looking for a place to go because our original plans didn’t play out and this place looked good, after trying it was one of the best plan B’s we’ve ever had. Complements to Chef Dale! We will be back!!!
