Fantastic rooftop bar with amazing views and sweet cocktails! We had a reservation on Opentable for Saturday at 4pm right at opening, but I’d say reservations that early aren’t necessary since we initially had the place to ourselves. They have heat lamps outside, however, we were there on an unusually hot day, and unfortunately since all seating was in direct sun, we opted for their solarium indoor seating. I ordered the pacific coast punch and my friend ordered the capri moon. Both drinks were very fruit forward, mostly passion fruit and pineapple for mine and mostly guava flavor for my friend. We didn’t mind the sweeter drinks though and actually ended up ordering seconds of both since we liked them so much.

Atmosphere and view are great! We had one drink, the Capri moon, which was interesting. They sat us behind some plants and when we asked if we could move to another small table for a better view, they said no because people had reservations. However, we felt very dismissed because there were a lot of open tables.

The experience was meh at best. We emailed about their $75pp policy regarding their fireplaces (2 in total) and though it’s not a shared space with other patrons the fireplace setting seems more suitable for a group of 4 or more. The fireplace can be a romantic spot for two but we opted for a standard table outside. (Their standard tables don’t have a minimum $ spent policy) Normally we could see ourselves spending $75 worth of food & drinks each, but we were coming more as an after-dinner nightcap.

I made a reservation in the garden for my birthday dinner and the place was amazing. We ordered different kinds of food and my favorites were chicken wings and carrot tartar. Drinks are very good too. Employees were great!! The view was perfect but it gets cold of course. If you want a table with fire in the middle, you need to pay extra. The ambiance was goood! I also would like to try their inside bar which looked good when I was there. Great experience at Rise Over Run!!
