Food was very good. Chicken wings were great. Meat falling off of the bones. Good flavor. Tacos good too. It’s no Taco Bell, it’s real food, if your in town give it a try. Young lady who waited on us was great. Attentive and pleasant.

Very good California burrito and spicy flautas! The cheese dip and green salsa was great too. Would definitely come back. Lots of seating and lengthy menu.

Good food and kind service. However I ordered a chili rellano and it had beef in it! I’ve only ever had vegetarian. No alcohol sold here.

Absolutely the best Mexican flavors. Homemade salsas are wonderful and such friendly service. They have more than just the standard Mexican dishes, typically found in restaurant . Love supporting this local business.

Came in on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. It was summer so there was no competition for tables with students. We were able to walk in to a table and ate some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had! The in-house salsas were really delicious! Everyone was happy with their meals. Great value, too, as we all had enough to bring home for a whole other meal.

Now our favorite Hispanic restaurant in the greater Asheville area. Service with a smile. Not crowded when we visited. Downtown Mars Hill has a friendly atmosphere. And the food was unique and just plain delicious. Family recipes, including things you just can’t get elsewhere. Really glad we gave them a try, and we’ll be back frequently. I had the ground beef enchilada and rice and loved it. Spouse loved her fish tacos. Waitress suggested we try the Hidalgo, which we’ll do next.

Good, fast, authentic Mexican food. Service attentive but not pushy. Al pastor street tacos are a must. Complimentary chips and salsa are above par. Some of the best Mexican to be had in the greater Asheville area. The other Mexican restaurant down the street comes nowhere close to Rio’s for taste or value. No beer or wine served. Pay at register.

Have been wanting to try it and it did not disappoint! We decided to both get street tacos (suadero, carnitas, and al pastor) along with guac and choriqueso. We were pleasantly surprised how flavorful each was, but the suadero really stood apart. Get it!! They were served with a huge side of classic rice and beans. Huge portions for the price. The choriqueso was also a meal in of itself and absolutely amazing – so much so that my cravings won and I have 3 to go orders of it in my fridge right now. Great, quick, service with delicious food. A wonderful addition to downtown Mars Hill, this is quickly becoming our go to spot. Can’t wait to try more.
