I’m not sure how this place has good reviews. This was the worst Mexican food I’ve eaten. I’m giving 2 stars just because the staff was nice. I was almost done with my iced tea before I looked in it and saw a bunch of gnats drowned in it. They didn’t even bat an eye about it when I asked for a different beverage. I’m not sure what they considered ground beef, but it tasted disgusting and had absolutely no texture. I kept imagining there was a giant vat they were scooping it out of. Maybe the other meats were ok, but I’ll never know, because we won’t be returning.

My family have frequented this location for years. The food and staff are great, super friendly. Seating never takes long. Menu choices and typical of Tex Mex, and can’t beat complimentary chips and salsa!

Probably tge best meal I’ve ever had in a Mexican restaurant. Food was delicious and portions were huge. Two of us could have easily been filled with one entre. The waiter was fantastic. All around, nothing could have been improved upon.

I usually go to the Rio in Nitro but I visited over the summer it’s closer and I liked it and the staff was great. We went a few more times since then it was the same friendly and good food. We went tonight and it was a terrible experience. My husband had the nachos grande and I had the enchiladas. My husband first bowl had a hair in it. He found after like 4 bites. The order was needed up but he didn’t mind but the hair was a no go. They brought him another bowl and the meat was so salty he couldn’t even eat it. My enchiladas were not good and made completely different than usual. I tried but It just wasn’t good for me. We had to Waite for a while for our waiter to even be seen. They offered nothing for our food that we couldn’t eat. I payed around 30$ for food we didn’t even eat

Delicious!! I I took a first date to Rio Grande #9 earlier and she (as I) was impressed with all the had to offer.. I got the combination beef burrito along side a chicken enchilada and 2 beef tacos. She got a chicken chimichanga.. when the plates were brought out they were steamin’ !!!
