There were quite a few problems with my dine here. However it wasn’t all bad so let’s start with the positives. My friend and I both ordered nachos and the portion size was very very large. At Mexican restaurants the portion size for nachos usually is but this was especially large. The taste was good as well. It wasn’t perfect and didn’t beat places like the real Mexico restaurant in Colombia SC however it was good.

Americanized Mexican food with small portions. I ordered this Chimichanga and got two super small fried burritos. Not worth the price tag in my opinion.

My wife and 3 boys “11 and younger” randomly stopped for dinner after driving Holiday Festival of Lights nearby. The food was fresh, and delicious. The staff were attentive and helped with suggestions for us to select. Great place and very happy with the place overall. When we are back in the area Rio Chico will have us stopping by again.

They have really kept improving this place over the years. Excellent menu which has maintained reasonable prices. Chimichanga on combo meals is rare to find and lovely. Tamales were excellent. Great tex mex menu with lots to choose from. Great alcohol and non alcoholic options, had a nice frozen virgin daiquiri. Service and seating was quick on a Saturday night and attentive and unobtrusive. Solid restaurant firmly in the genre.
