Excellent entrees, good appetizers and desserts. Above average service from all staff. Very comfortable, upscale but casual atmosphere. Semi private seating nooks. Tight parking lot behind the restaurant. Located right next to the Roundhouse.

Rio Chama Prime Steakhouse was a pretty good experience. This was good food and good atmosphere. In my opinion, this was priced at the top of the market. By that I mean that the price fit the quality of the food.

Great service, food, and drink. I got wagyu steak as medium, which was cooked excellently but the meat was a little bit on the lean side to tell you the truth. But it was not dry at all. The nacho appetizer was a spot on. I’m surprised by the low review score but this place was great and awesome. We will revisit whenever we stop by Santa Fe!

I’ve been here twice and so far everything I’ve had has been SO delicious. Taquitos, fondue, prime ribeye (medium), potato gratin, green chile mac’n’cheese (my favorite, SO good), and asparagus. And for drinks, I have had the Como La Flor and Desert Wonder Drug.

Made a reservation ahead of time and came in with a very big party (10), for my wife’s grandmother’s birthday. The service from Josè was phenomenal and the entire night was well received by all. The food was all great according to everyone else in our party. Great job on a busy weekend to make the birthday girls night. Thank you from various parts of New Mexico

The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. The calamari, lamb shank & fried chicken was delicious, however to our parties disappointment both the filet mignon and T-bone steak were over cooked and for $48 a steak you would hope that they’d be cooked to perfection, but they were not. The waiter seemed to be uninformed about the menu as he couldn’t provide answers to our questions. It took forever to get refills, the desert menu, spoons and forgot a side dish. The waiter dropped sauce on my father’s shirt after grabbing a dish to quickly, and his helper served a dish right in front of my face to the person sitting next to me. It would be beneficial for the management to ensure their staff is properly trained in customer service before released to serve customers.

A classy yet cozy restaurant situated just north of the capitol. Parking is limited; we had reservations for 5pm on a Monday and there were few empty slots. I could see why other reviews noted the lot could become a mud pit in rainy or snowy weather. Inside the restaurant, the vibe is classic Santa Fe enhanced by electric candlelight. Service was good throughout our visit. We ordered drinks to start along with the boar bacon starter, which was a nicely laden charcuterie board perfect for two. My husband ordered truffle fries, too, which came out in a big basket. The dining room we were in was spacious, with no one seated close to us—a welcome thing even in non-pandemic times. I ordered the salmon, which was perfectly cooked and atop a bed of fingerling potatoes and vegetables in a succulent broth. Capers stop the fish added a delightful briny contrast. My husband enjoyed his ribeye, which was tender and cooked to preference. Dessert was bread pudding that was chunky and sweet; not the best I’ve had, but good.

We recently had our wedding rehearsal dinner and welcome party at Rio Chama. My husband and I live on the East Coast and had never stepped into the restaurant before our rehearsal dinner (the fun of planning a destination wedding) so we were trusting other online reviews and hoping for the best.

Mothers Day Menu was very limited. Short staff. Took 3 hours to eat there. No refills. Small portions and the food was terrible. Way over rated.

Excellent Mother’s Day Brunch. I wish the menu had a little more variety! But everything we got was good. I had the Short Ribs Breakfast Hash. We also got the Prime Rib, and Ceviche to start.
