I ordered food for Thanksgiving a week ahead and when I got there the food wasn’t ready. Had to wait another 30 minutes and I ask the manager for a discount and he declined it. He said there were two many orders from different people and he only has two people cooking. I notify him that my food was ordered a week in advance and charged $130 that was going to be ready at 1pm and just ignore me. The worse part was the yellow rice was lame, pork was cold, beef empanadas were over cooked. I will never go back again.

The best Puerto Rican food in Newark, Nj. I always come here for the pernir. The staff is always friendly and serves you well. I can’t wait for their repairs to start. My heart goes out for the people as they were burned out. Thank you for the many years of delicious meals.

Ordered for the first time on Uber Eats and the rice tasted days old and the pork tasted just as old. I’m a chef I know what old rice tastes like and the pernil was old and reheated. Then when I called to let them know about the quality the woman who answered the phone was like “ oh well I didn’t cook the food”. Horrible food and horrible service. Uber should remove them as an option.

I have been coming here for years. They make empanadas all day. I love their bacalao and my son loves their, pollo guisado. I do recommend.

This is a solid spanish food restaurant, more specifically puerto rican. Their empanadas are one of the better ones around, and they always have pasteles among other things you wouldn’t cook normally everyday. They been around for a while and are very consistent with the quality of the food. Good for take out or dine in.

I have never heard of the Puerto Rican section of Newark until I left JC and NY. I was excited to see some of the restaurants but this place is not it. I visited on a summer afternoon and it was dirty, and food was swimming in grease.

Exceptional traditional Puerto Rican foods and a good price. Make sure you ask if they have your favorites as you may need to wait – the food goes as fast as the cook can prepare and cook it!
