I have not been to Rix County store since pre-covid. Then, I would have given it 5 stars. Today, I stopped in because I was out of coffee at home. The store was bare. I grabbed a small coffee… No lids. I had to use a fountain pop lid to cover my black coffee.

I’ve always loved Rix, but lately the food is just not very good. They don’t listen to requests like well done, or extra crispy. The subs are necer right and sometimes not even edible. The people there are very nice, but the kitchen has gone down hill the past 7 months or so. Hopefully they’ll get better again.

Customer service is dead. You own two stores with the same name, you’d probably state that when you answered the phone. Second when a customer comes in and asks how long for a sub to be prepared, you’d probably want to answer their question and not just make the sub without asking standard sub order questions i.e. lettuce, tomato, onion, oil, mayo, white, wheat or sesame etc. Then when said customer asks why you didn’t ask said questions, you proceed to argue with them about their wanting the option to to choose what’s on it.

Very displeased with my experience at Ricotta’s. I recently picked up a double order of wings. I was handed a plain box containing the wings, no plastic bag, and headed to my car. I carefully placed the box on my front seat and drove the short distance home. When I got to my house, to my horror, I noticed that chicken wing grease had seeped out of the box onto my car’s upholstery. Worse, my winter jacket had grease stains from carrying the box to my car. When I looked inside the chicken wing box, the wings were sitting in a pool of grease. I spoke to the owner and he was rude and refused to refund my money or pay for my dry cleaning. I would never do business with Ricotta’s again. Run from this one!
