Fantastic food truck with seating and parking! We had the birria tacos with consume (add some tapatio) and the pollo burrito and both were fantastic. Great filling meal for after a hike or if you’re in the area!

Fantastic taco place in Volcano village, very close to the National park entrance. Birria and carnitas tacos were amazing! The plate comes with 3 tacos, rice and beans, great deal. Super friendly cheff, fast service, good music, parking… come here to refill after the whole day in the park!

As a Guatemalan I am always on the hunt for the perfect balance of spice, smoke and cilantro. Rico’s Tacos delivers on all three. The Al Pastor street tacos were tangy and moist with a hint of smoke and clove. They left a nice heat in my mouth afterwards which is my absolute favorite level of spice. The sauce was hot and perfect for an ocasional dip or to add to the beans. The Birria street tacos were good. The meat was very simple but the cilantro, onion and jalapeño touched it up nicely. Best tacos on the island!

Delicious, freshly prepared tacos and burritos! A special treat just outside of Volcanoes National Park. A quiet spot surrounded by lush landscape. Generous portions and fair prices. We will definitely be going back!!

Rico’s is our GO TO for Mexican here in Hawaii. It’s the closest you’ll get on island to authentic. They take so much pride, care and dedication to their food service and business. Did you know they also sell Taco Platters!!! Winners!
