We have eaten at Ricky’s for years and absolutely love it. We have been a few times and the pizza wasn’t as good as usual but then the next time we would go back it was awesome as always. We always love to see Ricky who is always full of personality! Yesterday my husband and I went and for two medium pizzas it was almost $50 which would have been fine had the pizza been hot and delicious. The pizza was almost ice cold, the taste was different and I couldn’t even eat one slice. Sorry Ricky but we are done.

While driving with a hungry belly, I came across Ricky’s New York Pizza. Oh baby, it hit the spot! The garlic knots were delicious and the Lasagna pizza was the perfect selection. Thank you so much for the warm welcome and great conversation. See you all soon!

I’m very open to trying new places and enjoying different types of cuisine, but this is definitely one of those places that I call a one and done. We totaled $103 for some of the most epic waste of tastebuds I’ve had in a long time. We ordered two medium pizzas, two orders of 12 wings and the saddest sub I’ve ever held in my hands. The buffalo chicken pizza barely had any chicken on it. it was as if they shaved a chicken breast with a cheese grater and smothered it in Buffalo sauce and cheese. And the crust? I might as well have been chewing through a brick. That hot dog bun they call a sub was practically a salad. If I wanted all that bread I could have hit up a Costco. I hoped the wings would at least redeem the failure of a good meal, but they turned out to be dry and lacking flavor. The next time I’m driving through that area hungry, and I turn my head and I see Ricky’s, I’ll have sleep for dinner instead.

Are you kidding me?! Incredible. Just, incredible! I’ve been to the best pizza joints in NY (for instance, L&B Spumoni Gardens in Brooklyn), and Ricky’s is basically a transplant straight from NYC. Every pizza we’ve had here is authentic and amazing. Love the buffalo chicken pizza, so unique, and the Brooklyn style. Have not found anything on the menu that is not fantastic!!! Even the antipasto salad was unbelievable! Thank you, Ricky — keep up the great work!!

Absolutely delicious! I have been in the area for two years and found a pizza place that is so good I will be going back! I will also be spreading the word about this place! So good! I have enough pizza left over for tomorrow and cannot wait to try it after reheating it in the oven. And totally worth the price of the pizza. Delicious! Must go!

Terrible experience over the phone with owner. Told in restaurant price for Glutin Free pizza was 12.50 for cheese & pepperoni. When I got home and called the same pizza in, Ricky said it was $17.50. I said that is not what I was told by the girl & the cook, both knowing G/F pizza. Owner was very insistent & borderline rude to me, a first time customer. Would I eat there,,,NO!

I was so excited to see they had a NY pizzeria here. And they did not disappoint! The staff was awesome, friendly & funny. They have a very talented artist whose painting are fun & all over the shop. Make sure to check out the ones in the bathrooms! The pizza was perfect! If we are ever back in the area I will be sure to stop here again!

Best Pizza hubby and I have had in a very long time. It is very evident that Ricky’s uses superior ingredients. I’m mad it took us so long to check out this place. The staff was very friendly (shout out to Audrey)..and Ricky’s playlist is super awesome!!

I love pizza and I believe I’ve eaten it from every pizza place in Durham. But Ricky’s is my absolute favorite. My son, Jeff, and I used to get an extra large cheese pizza (sometimes with pepperoni) and it was still piping hot when we got home. Every single time. And we got a pizza from Ricky’s about once a week. It’s a pie with cheesy goodness and the crust is delicious! Jeff died 01/21/22 and when I went in to get my pizza the first time after that, I told the guy at the register about it and showed him a picture of Jeff. He said they had wondered why he hadn’t been in in such a long time. I thought that was really nice that they had thought about a loyal customer like that. So it’s not just the best pizza in Durham. The people who run it are so nice!

1st time in, will not be the last. The food was so good, great conversation with Ricky, and a juke box too. The location is very unassuming and now I have a great place to feed my need for mozzarella! Looking forward to bringing friends.
