The employees were super nice and helpful. I loved the sweet plantains. They were sweet and soft, just the way I like them. I forget what the correct term is, but the fried potato balls were delicious! Just the way I remembered them, as a kid. We ordered a Cuban also, but I just wasn’t a fan of it. I feel like it wasn’t pressed enough, and it didn’t have pickles on it. I did order it with pickles, but someone else ended up making the sandwich. My husband wasn’t impressed with it either, but I do think pickles would have made it a lot better. Maybe next time, if I find myself in that area. I’d go just for the plantains and potato balls.

The obvious friendliness of the staff makes this a good place to go and relax over a very satisfying meal. While the overall presentation of the food choices could use a bit more attention, the taste and quality is on par! With so many choices of Latin food in the area, Ricky’s is certainly one to add to your list for a ‘off the beaten path ‘ place that’s not crowded, for good food!
