Ricks has fell off. Idk if it’s cause of the kids or what. But nothing is ever fresh anymore. Except for the chicken tenders. Who wants hot chicken tenders with a cold clumped potato. Such a disappointment.

Starting with the food, the sandwiches were amazing, the meat was moist and cooked very well. Their BBQ sauce was pretty good as well. The sides could probably use some improvements, they were pretty bland and boring but weren’t the worst. It seemed like the manager was having a pretty bad day and was very vocal about it. Their glory days must be behind them. Don’t understand the hype. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the food was just okay. The ribs were fatty. The Mac and cheese were tastless, the baked beans are mush. The only saving grace with this place is the loaded baked potato.

Called in order she said make sure u are by 8. The wait in drive thru was over 25 mins long. Got to the window order was still not ready. Told him make it was right. I down the road checked the order was wrong. Ugh ugh if short staffed then get to hiring cause I’m sure they will more low reviews.

Great place for bbq and unique sides like mustard slaw and a tri-tater. I’m a full slab kinda girl. Plain, to dress how you like. Ribs are everyday they’re open unlike a couple other places in town. They fall off the bone and aren’t baby backs. It’s excellent barbeque.

Drove down into Tennessee for a show at The Caverns. Found Rick’s by accident while looking for a late lunch on the road. We ordered some slaw dogs ($1.99 each) and some two meat BBQ plates. Slaw dogs were fantastic! For 13 bucks, the BBQ plates were more food than we could eat. I got the ribs and beef plate Wich had tx toast hash brown, 6 giant ribs and a pile of pulled beef. I got the Mac and cheese, which was ok, and the vinigar slaw which I really liked.
