Our bill was rather cheap for 3 people 25 dollars before tip. The mash potatoes and gravy we okay it would have been way better with out the awful gravy. The burgers were perfect. Do not order the kids Mac and cheese they precooked it and than stick it in the microwave and it’s kraft Mac and cheese. They charge you extra 1.60 per refill on your drinks which is stated on the menu. It’s like a cracker barrel with way less photos on the wall.

We went in for breakfast and it was wonderful. We were in there right before they stopped serving breakfast and the lady that helped us allowed us to get breakfast still. We tipped her well that day for doing that for us.

The menu found on line is not the same at the restaurant. The Big & Juicy Burger is dry and obviously frozen patties that are served plain. All additional toppings including cheese are extra, but this detail is left off the menu and wasn’t mentioned by our server. Oh, and this is the same sandwich featured on their kid’s menu listed as Bobby’s Burger. Today, our burgers were served way overcooked.

Disappointed to be working in Kendallville today only to discover that you are closed at noon. Your schedule says you’re open until 2:00….. No sign, or any other indication that you are closed other than an empty parking lot.

We waited 5 minutes before anyone told us to seat ourselves then we waited another 5 minutes before we got service. When our food was delivered we asked her for more napkins and more tarter sauce but never received either one. Our server thought it more important to mop the kitchen floor than to take care of her customers. Had to wrap my chicken in a napkin to take it home because our server never returned. Another couple got up and left because they couldn’t get service. The whole time we were there the two servers working spent the whole time in the kitchen acting up and laughing loudly. Very annoying!! How can you run a business like that? We will never frequent this place again!!!

Food was good. Service for us was good but what I witness today was something that I never thought I would see. A handicap woman and her husband came in and sat down. The watriess ignored them and served three family’s that came in after them. The couple just left quietly. I never expected this kind of discrimination from a restaurant with a high tradition of quality.

If you want a taste of nostalgia and the good old days, you can’t beat Richard’s restaurant! Like going to Grandma’s for lunch or dinner! Yay!

Great food at great prices and usually with great service. It’s quiet and no one appears to mind if I take my time and maybe read a bit too.

Stopped for dinner on a Friday evening. It’s self seating at this point. Wait staff was quick with drinks and menus. With their reduced menu most sandwiches don’t come with a side. Bf got the country fried steak and was very happy with it. Daughter got burger and fries and I got the fried chicken. It took a while to get our meals. But the fried chicken was hot and juicy. Although it tasted like the oil should have been changed. It was not rubbery like I’ve had elsewhere. The mashed potatoes were luke warm, but the gravy was good. If you order a dinner and want rolls you’ll have to ask for them. To be truthful for cost you really can’t complain. It’s good food for cheap. As long as Richard’s is around I’ll keep going for the chicken. It’s really good fried chicken.
