This place is located right next to the bart station with a small parking lot in the back. I noticed all the high reviews for their clay pot rice and wanted to try it out. I ordered on my phone for take out since I knew the rice would take a while to cook and planned to just eat there. (I assumed it was cafeteria style based on photos.) When we got there, I realized that you actually order from the table you’re seated through a QR code. They also charge an automatic service fee. However, since I ordered prior, the rice was done almost as soon as we were seated. I noticed not many people had ordered rice, but were eating soup noodles as the restaurant is also with grapeholic and social eatery.

It’s actually not bad. The rice is a little too hard but for clay pot rice it’s better to err on the side of being hard rather than too soft/watery. The sausages are a little small and too thin but that’s more of a stylistic difference than what I’m used to. The ham is not bad but also very thin. I do like the skin on the ham. I do wish the sausages and hams had more flavors. I ordered extra sausages and also eggs. The eggs are good enough but not something I’d rave about. Overall it’s a decent place to get clay pot rice if I don’t want to drive all the way to Chinatown.

Stopped in to try the food, this is my my parents goto for clay pot rice, specifically the chicken feet and pork spareribs clay pot. Chicken feet are pretty good compared to some dim sum restaurants. Overall food is good. It’s getting harder to find places that offer clay pot rice so I’m happy a restaurant close to home is available now so I don’t have to drive into San Francisco.

Try this clay pot rice. It is not the best in the Bay Area, but it is worthy. However, there is no Asian swamp eel clay pot rice available ( the classic clay pot rice for Toishanese).

It hasn’t opened yet. There are 3 stores here together. Before we went, we searched for Rice monster and called the phone number displayed on Google to ask if they were open. A man said they were open, but we went there to talk about food. Xiaoyao hasn’t opened yet… Speechless. I drove there for more than 20 minutes, and when I went there, only the one who made milk tea opened it. Please tell me the phone number clearly, or give a reminder not to let people go there for nothing This google didn’t say that claypot rice is The milk tea maker didn’t say that the three companies were together, making people play around
