I had high hopes for this place but was sadly disappointed during my first visit. Cheap food, convenient location, and adequate parking… But, that is where it ends! Customer service was severely lacking. The lady who took my order had rushed me, didn’t listen to me, didn’t answer my menu questions, was unfriendly, and didn’t even come over for my order. She just screamed from the kitchen, “what you order!” The man out front taking a cigarette break just glared at me. I got the vibe that customers are bothering the restaurant and our business is expected but not appreciated. The food was edible but highly over seasoned and cooked to a mushy consistency. I didn’t like the meal. It was not very tasty. I will not be a returning customer.

This used to be an awesome restaurant. Used to have GREAT food. Now with change of ownership, the food is sub-par at best. General Tsu was not spicy. Lo mein was tasteless and noodles mushy. This has happened last 2 times we ordered their food. I used to recommend this restaurant. Not now. Entrance lobby is also cluttered and messy appearing.

The orange chicken was great. It even came with a complementary hair in it! (not to worry, I was given the plate for free after I made a scene about it). Not like I cared about the hair, I just couldn’t afford the plate and needed a reason to eat free.

Very fresh and authentic home made Chinese food with quality meat, seafood and vegetables. Not mall or like Chinese rest. chain food. Their dumplings are excellent, large sized with great flavor. They are soft and doughy, I personally like them this way, not sure if you will. These are not pot stickers. They also make delicious shrimp rolls and the beef and chicken fried rice are both very good, the rice is more on the firmer side. I highly recommend “The Rice King”

I got the general tsos and it was like Jesus spoon fed me a tiny part of heaven. The staff was so friendly I thought I’ve known them my whole life. If I could make one complaint it would be that they aren’t open 24/7. I will definitely be recommending to friends and family!

They have by far the best food in pittsburgh. I’ve gone to more than 20 other Chinese restaurants all over town and paid anywhere from $5 a person to $40 a person. And I can tell you rice king is the best by far. Fresh food, great quality, and amazing prices. Love it!
