Hickory Hill definitely sets the gold standard for both its food and service! Their service was unmatched. The food (baked potato, brisket, ribs, chicken, potato salad and beans) exceeds 5 star. All food was very flavorful . The brisket seemingly melts in your mouth. Let me rave about the lemonade which made its grand and appealing presentation in a quart jar!! My my my! It was the best lemonade that I’ve EVER had. This wasn’t just the typical everyday barbecue. Every time we travel to east TX, it’ll be a must have.

What a pleasant surprise! A little rustic barbeque restaurant in the middle of the country. Excellent brisket, fall off the bone ribs, delicious beans and AMAZING sweet tea and lemonade. BEST tea and lemonade I have ever had!!!!! Plus you keep the Mason jar! It’s a big jar!!!

If I could give them 10 stars I would. Kelly and her husband are wonderful people, and definitely added to the charm of this place. My husband and I got two steak plates, and those rib eyes were bigger than my face! Definitely get some of Kelly’s “moonshine” (non-alcoholic) it is heaven in a jar! We will definitely be making this our new Sunday spot! Lots of food options from tacos to burgers and BBQ!

I stopped by last night after work and got ribs, hot links, brisket and beans and oh my!!! The brisket melted in my mouth, the ribs fell off the bone and the hot links were delicious!!! Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly!!! I highly recommend this top notch BBQ place to anyone wanting good quality and quantity meat!!!

We LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Amazing barbecue – maybe the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot. Everything is outstanding – brisket, ribs, potato salad, the LEMONADE is great, comes in a refillable Mason jar! We’re from out of state, but our son goes to Louisiana Tech, and every time we visit, we go out of our way (driving from Dallas to Ruston LA on the 20) to get the best barbecue anywhere. Tiny little place, but with more room in the back. Also you can dine on the porch, so it’s pet friendly. Kerry and Kelly (Owners) are the sweetest, warmest folks and will make every visit a special meal. NEED TO get there on a weekend some time when they do their smoked prime rib lobster and shrimp!

Great BBQ sauce and that moonshine tea is awesome. This is the perfect road side BBQ stop. Not tons of room but they make up for that with service and great food. The hot links were great and the brisket was beyond tender which for me wasn’t perfect because I like crispy burnt ends but I understand that not everyone is the same. Don’t pass this place.

Omggggg! This place is a HIDDEN GEM! I have lived here over 4years now, and have never experienced anything like it! This is definitely the #1 barbecue spot in Tyler TX hands down! The food is great! The tea is amazing! I cannot wait to go try more items on the menu! And the customer service was definitely refreshing! Good ole SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY! My advice….. TRY EVERYTHING!
