This is my go to place! I love their pupusas and their tilapia plate. The red cabbage is so good I would recommend anyone who’s looking for something new to come and enjoy this restaurant. The service is also really good very polite.

Went here for the 1st time today. I have never tried pupusas and decided to stop since I pass this restaurant often. I ordered a pupusa de chicharron and I requested to add green chile and also ordered a pupusa de res (shredded beef). Ordered to go. When I got home anxious to try I ripped a piece of the 1st pupusa with chicharron and green chile and was very disappointed to see that it was all cornmeal and had VERY LITTLE meat plus it didn’t even look like chicharron or taste like it and it had jalapenos not green chile. That made me sad but I still had a second chance with the res pupusa. Well I tore a piece of that one too and once again VERY LITTLE meat plus under cooked so I had a mouthful of masa. If I had eaten there I would have asked for a refund and left. I would NOT go here again nor recommend this place. Not only because the food was not good nor worth the money but when I walked in the girls behind the counter looked at me very judgmental and I felt uncomfortable.

Amazing food! And friendly staff. This is a small restaurant with limited seating (due to covid) but still was able to have a table for dine in. I had the papusas and Salvadorian tamales and both were phenomenal! Fresh and packed with flavour.

Pupuseria Y Restaurant Salvadoreño serves up great tasting pupusas with a smile. While all of their selection is delicious and affordable, their agua de tamarindo, pupusa de salami, and tamal de elote (made with sweet corn) makes this place well worth the stop on your way to work, school, or wherever you have planned next in Albuquerque.

The pupusas were great. The nopalito one was my favorite. I also love when the staff talks to you in Spanish. I speak Spanish but I am a white guy so usually get English No worries if don’t speak Spanish they speak English too.

Worth the trip if you are driving by, service is friendly and welcoming. They don’t have a menu posted online so you’ll have to go on your own culinary adventure in here; I wanted a modified version of one of their plates and they were happy to oblige. Quality is slightly below that of El Papaturro, but it is still very good Salvadoran food!

Nice, quiet place. Interesting, inexpensive, very filling food. I’m used to hot NM food, so it was a change.

I ordered the beef and cheese pupuserias. I ate half of it and became very nauseated. I looked inside and the hamburger meat was nowhere near cooked properly as In not done. It looked like she put the raw hamburger meat inside and then fried it. It also has scanty amounts of hamburger for all the cornmeal it was fried in. I ordered 4 of them and ended throwing them in the trash.
