When they say bayou views they mean bayou views! The alligator regulars are all named after the Golden Girls according to staff. Each of us got the Sunday five course meals (except for the little one who got the kids meal pasta with a side of fruit) we also got a basket of bread upon arrival which was great. The food was amazing and my mom got a mimosa that she was very fond of. While it was an amazing experience with great views and even better food, everywhere has a few flaws. This place didn’t have enough flaws to bring down their rating but be warned that the kids pasta is a very large portion. Less a flaw but there are only two women’s bathroom stalls which isn’t a big deal. Also not a flaw but the fruits in the kids side of fruits are blueberries, strawberries, and bananas. I definitely recommend the chicken gumbo and the pecan pie.

This place was AMAZING! We did the Jean Lafitte’s Swamp Tour and decided to eat locally afterwards. And I’m so glad we did! We had amazing service from Ashley D. I am a huge Caesar Salad person, and this restaurant’s recipe by far is the best I’ve ever had. The creole mustard is a key component. I added fried oysters to the salad which were large and succulent, perfectly fried golden. We also had the crab cakes which were loaded with lump crab meat and not bread filler. The sauce and slaw paired very nicely with them. The view of the bayou was absolutely gorgeous through the wall to wall of giant viewing windows, with some local wildlife making occasional cameos. We will definitely make the trip back down to Lafitte just to eat here next time in New Orleans. Thank you to the staff for being so friendly, courteous and talkative! ⚜️

We walked here for lunch after spending the morning at the Jean Lafitte national park. The restaurant is really clean and bright with a lovely windowed seating area looking out onto the river. The food was incredible and the portion sizes were super generous.

Sit by the window and watch the alligators while you enjoy your meal. The food and cocktails are excellent.

The pork sausage and fried fish was a tad bit too salty for me. I know that I don’t cook with salt but I couldn’t finish the pork sausage. Other than that the fried calamari was good and the service was fine.

I hadn’t been since I was a teen. And after a fire and Hurricane Ida it is just as beautiful as I remember. Food was phenomenal
