This was our first time here. We made reservations for tea time for two people which is $40 per person. We so wanted this to be an awesome experience, and I’m bummed that I can’t give a 5 star review. We parked in a lot with a fee of $11 and walked two buildings down to Claudine’s. They were not too busy which was a plus. We were super excited to try this, something new that we’ve never done before. You order tea by the pot so for a table of 2, you get a max of 2 teas which is an adequate amount of tea; hard to just pick two. With this you get a “tower” which comes with finger sandwiches, macarons, quiche, tarts, lemon bars, and deviled eggs. Good variety and quantity although small portions, not a place to go (or at least don’t just do tea time) if you’re hungry and want a proper meal. The tower took a bit to get to our table which we were fine with, we figured they were preparing the food items. However, all items were the same temp. as though they were pre-made and stored in a cooler. All of the items had a similar taste as well (refrigerator taste). The quiche was dark on the sides and bottom, but ice cold in the center/egg portion. I would return and also recommend this place if they improved on the tower food items.

It was our first time at Restaurant Claudine. My sister & I are foodies and we love going to new places and trying new foods. When we entered we were greeted since we did make a reservation. The atmosphere was very nice. Our server Ray was very nice enjoyable and he made sure that he went over the menu with us since it was our first time and even recommended some dishes. Ray was very attentive and made sure that our food and everything came out fresh and hot. Other staff members also came around and made sure everyone was doing okay. So we did do champagne mimosas I got the shrimp and grits my sister got the chicken and waffles as well as the chicken salad. 10 out of 10 the food was amazing we will be back soon. And the homemade syrup was delicious.

A gorgeous environment, from the moment you walk in, it’s just a breath of comfort and charm. The servers, Ray and Issac were welcoming and wonderful, they made our experience even better. The food was amazing, it was out first time there and we just kept looking around at the beauty of this building.

Definitely a fan of the drinks (Claudine’s punch) over the menu. We tried to order quiche but we’re told they were out on a Saturday at opening. The simple breakfast was fine but not a reason for a return visit. The shrimp and grits went really heavy on a red oil which made the dish less appetizing. This is my second visit and the plate was delightful on my first visit … a different experience this second time. I would go again because the house is such a great vibe, service is solid and I enjoyed the drinks.

Our first time visiting Claudine. We went during lunch so we had no wait at all. I would recommend if you come here for dinner to make a reservation. Upon entering this house is absolutely gorgeous, they did a such lovely job decorating and up keeping it. We were then greeted by our server Issac, he quickly sat us down and gave us our menus. He went over the menu and style of ordering for us than gave us sometime to think it over. So the reason for my 4 stars is they were out of the two dishes we actually wanted to try so I was a bit bummed about that. Anyways so basically you order your courses and they serve them in a very timely manner so a bunch of food just isn’t sitting on the table getting cold. I must say that dang smoked trout dip was flipping amazing….. highly recommend trying that for sure! Their cornbread was a sweet soft cake like bread along with the lightly smoked honey butter. It was delicious but I couldn’t taste the smoke, if it didn’t say smoke I wouldn’t have known but non the less the butter was still perfection. Our salads were light and refreshing especially my heirloom salad. Now on to the main courses. Hubby got the hot fried chicken which was served on some delicious creamy mashed potatoes. It actually looked hotter than it was, it was a subtle heat. My gumbo actually had more heat but was a legit gumbo imo. Every bite had a punch of flavor. I look forward to coming back to try their dinner menu but also on the weekend to try their brunch, I’m a sucker for brunch. A must try if you’re wanting to get all dolled up and try something a little extra on your pallet. Issac was a delightful server, great smile, charm and knowledgeable.

This much vaunted place was great on atmosphere and service and pretty ehn on food. Located in the east Grayson district this is in a nicely restored bungalow that makes for a really nice atmosphere that matches the old fashioned name.

What an amazing find! The outside of the restaurant (an older remodeled home) doesn’t do justice to the beautifully decorated rooms. We started with the blue crab beignets which were phenomenal. I had the off-menu chicken fried steak and can honestly say it was the best I’ve ever had. It was definitely the gravy that did it for me. Our server was excellent, and we had such a wonderful experience. We will definitely visit again the next time we’re in town.

Wow! What a find. Our friends made reservations and we were able to get a table around noon. The restaurant is located off Broadway in an area that is being remade and new construction added. The restaurant is in an old old house. Great ambience inside. Our waiter was excellent and the food was delicious. Super fresh. I had the salad and it was the perfect size portion. Will had the shrimp and grits. His dish was excellent. You have to wait a bit for food, but it’s all cooked from scratch. Highly recommend.
