Wow what a place! Dog friendly! Spacious patio.. Delicious food! My whole family enjoyed everything from pulled pork tacos, kids mac n cheese, burger, wings and oriental salad! Our server was wonderful and live music was great. You could still hold a conversation while enjoying music. Definitely recommend!

Smuttynose is the perfect place to catch up with friends over beers and bar food. The location is a short drive away from the downtown hustle and bustle. During the warmer months, we love the outside seating and live music. Our most recent visit was inside but very cozy and surprisingly quiet.

Ordered the grilled chicken pita lunch special. This was the result aftet picking up one half. Bre the manager offered 50% off the sandwich only as the other half hadn’t fallen apart yet. Something about company policy. Horrible service and even worse shredded mystery meat.

Went here before going to an event in the area. My sister and I just weren’t a fan. Service was poor and incredibly slow but we didn’t mind, we had time and they were clearly understaffed. The food just wasn’t good.

The food is wonderful but holy hell is this place unorganized. The bar is separate from the restaurant, the restaurant is separate from the trailer, and the trailer is separate from the bar. Yet they are all within 20 feet of another.

Haven’t been here since the change in ownership and head brewer. Totally improved the food and beer. Finally they have the combination of event space and everything you need to have a good time. Looking forward to going back many more times.

A must go-to spot for lunch or dinner when you are in Portsmouth / Exeter area. Fantastic huge outside patio area with great relaxed vibe. Everything I have tried on the menu has been fantastic…. Burgers, fish and chips, chicken wings, cheese steak sandwich, mixed salads, etc. The brewery always has a wide range of craft brews on tap. In addition, they have some limited release experimental batches which are always unique and tasty!
