I love this place. The food is always great portions and taste great. My fish was PACKED with fish. It was so flaky and moist it was falling out from my fork. The house chips were great and the mozzarella sticks were HUGE!!! The Bavarian pretzel was super soft with lots of salt too. I’ve tried multiple things here and always am impressed

I’m visiting from Florida and my family brought us here. There were 6 of us ranging from 9 to 43. We had a blast! We ordered the pretzel appetizer, onion rings and sweet potato fries-ALL AMAZING! We all also ordered and shared a variety of burgers. The Lunch Counter Special, the Willie Nelson and one that absolutely blew us away! The Fig It Out Burger! Fig sauce, goat cheese, arugula and candied bacon!! It was cooked perfectly and delicious!!!

When you drive past this restaurant, you might not think much of it, but don’t judge a book by its cover! Best burgers in Dover!!! They curate their own ground meat blends to choose from. The meat is tender, juicy and flavorful. They cook and season it to perfection. Nice fresh buns that are the right size for the burger. All the sides are great, but favorites are the extraordinarily good french fries, and the spicy marinated cole slaw. Staff is always friendly and on top of things. We have visited Restaurant 55 many many times over the years and have never once been disappointed! The burgers are incredible! The meat is very fresh and flavorful. The buns are so soft and tasty. We also love the fish and chips! The fried pickles and sweet potato fries are great starters and the variety of cupcake flavors they have are the perfect dessert. You really can’t go wrong with much of anything on the menu.

This is one of Dover’s best offerings serving up a variety of burgers and sandwiches with some entrees sprinkled in. The beer/wine list is vast with lots of unique options. The food is really good, if not great. Service is consistently top notch. This place can get crowded and fill up fast, so plan accordingly. It’s definitely my favorite stop when I’m visiting my mom in Dover. An absolute must-try! Enjoy!
