This is an interesting use of space, it’s Toast breakfast restaurant from 7am to 3 pm and converts to a pizza restaurant from 3pm til closing. We went for dinner and split a really amazing truffle buratta salad as our appetizer and then a crispy Margarita pizza. The combination was perfect for two medium hungry people. The salad was very good with a generous twist of prosciutto and tasty heirloom tomatoes and buratto. Dressing was spot on. The pizza was good but not great. The crust was ok but floppy and the overall taste was a little bland. Overall it was good for downtown pizza but not the best. Service was terrific, very attentive without being overbearing, and quick to address any needs. The atmosphere is good, fairly well lit with plenty of seating. Music a little loud but it’s still possible to talk at moderate levels. Prices good for downtown. Overall we give the Republic of Pizza three and one half clams (4 stars on the GenX scale) on the coveted Five Quahog Rating Scale.

Delicious pizza with high quality ingredients and excellent service. I was very pleased with the pesto pizza– I added mushrooms which were fresh and plentiful! Yum! The pizza’s were much larger than expected too! Recommend!

The pizza and flavored tea here was so good! We got the Sicilian Pesto pizza (added pepperonis), wings, and mixed us peach/raspberry tea. The wings were cooked to perfection, but needed more flavor/salt. Our waiter, Luke, was awesome, knowledgeable of the menu, and was very accommodating to our requests. We would definitely return.

Upon walking in there was not a lot of people in the restaurant, but they had live music, which was good! We ordered a pizza and wings. The pizza was amazing!!! I would definitely go back for just the pizza alone. Great flavor. The wings were good as well, I just wish they had a little spice to them or even some spicy dipping sauce. Overall the food was good and I hope they can spread the word to keep the doors open!

We stopped in about 20 minutes prior to the menu switching to pizza. The owner made us feel so welcome and like it was no problem to order pizza a bit early. The waitress ended up being equally nice. We had the margarita pizza, which is our go to at pizza places where we live in Ohio. This one was AMAZING! It might even compete with our local favorite. We also really enjoyed the “frosé all day” drink and declared it the best cocktail we’d had on our whole week long vacation.

Unfortunately, we never got the chance to order our food. After being seated, we were left unattended, with no waiter approaching our table. It was surprising given that the number of staff present appeared to exceed the number of guests. Despite this, they didn’t manage to recognize that we were prepared and waiting to order. The staff seemed more engrossed in their personal conversations, sitting on the bar chairs and chatting on their phones, rather than attending to customers. My advice would be to seek out another place to dine!

We popped in for a quick bite and found really good pizza and great hospitality! The shroom pizza was amazing made with four types of mushrooms and a black garlic aioli sauce. Super friendly bunch, they held our pizza while we went to a show. Highly recommend!
