I am giving Rene’s a 3 for location and decor but a 4 for food and service. This is a locals favorite since the early 70’s family owned business. The service is good, the food is cooked to order, and there are daily specials. It doesn’t look like much from the outside/inside but its the longevity of committed locals that keeps this place going. There are also good cocktails, food, and atmosphere is relaxed. Ask for one of their Mango Margerita its delicious!

We used to go water skiing on Wednesday at Lake Perris. We would stop in at Rene’s for the Wednesday $5.95 Prime Rib Special. The place was not the nicest in town, but the food….OMG!!!. Fabulous. Well that was 30 years ago in 1992. The horse radish was the best, (and hottest), you have ever tasted. I live in Vegas now and a friend asked, “what was the name of that place we used to go to?”. I had to look and see if it was still there. I am happy to see that it is. I vowed never to set foot in CA again, but I think we need to take a road trip. What night is Prime Rib Night?
