The food from this place was absolutely delicious! Real good down home southern cooking. They need a bigger serving area and set up, so they can get customers in and out quicker. Also a better system of taking orders so orders are confused or mixed up. I’m rooting for them to grow and be around for a long time. They have the skills to be successful for years. I would love to make some friendly suggestions just to see them be more efficient. Please support because the food is delicious, seasoned to perfection and you get your money worth.

I’ve been to this family owned business several times upon opening. I ordered ribs, collards and Mac and cheese. Second pic is catfish, potato salad and collards.This place has the best customer service and food was seasoned and worth every penny!

HANDS DOWN THE BEST PLACE I HAVE ATE AT SINCE I MOVED HERE.EVERYTHING IS DELICIOUS I GOT OXTAILS THE OTHER DAY.MAN THEY MAKE YOU WANT TO SLAP YOUR MAMA.I HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED NOT ONCE SINCE I BEEN GOING THERE..AND FOR PEOPLE TO SAY THAT THE STAFF IS NOT GOOD SMDH THATS A LIE THEY ARE ALWAYS FRIENDLY TO EVERYONE.AND SO WHAT IF YOU HAVE TO WAIT ITS WORTH IT CAUSE YOU KNOW ITS ALL GOOD.THE PRICES ARE RIGHT AND YOU GET SO MUCH FOOD..GOD BLESS THEM AND I WILL CONTINUE TO GO AND SUPPORT THEM THERE FOOD TASTE LIKE YOU COOKED IT IN YOUR OWN HOME..

Renell’s catered a birthday party that I attended today. The food was absolutely delicious! Fried chicken, green beans, mac’n’cheese, yams, cornbread… everything was hot and tasted amazing. The staff who brought the food was also extremely helpful, telling us how to open and light the warmers and to add water to our bottom pans when they noticed we didn’t know what we were doing. They showed a little extra kindness it was noticed and greatly appreciated! I will definitely be recommending Renell’s to everyone I know! Thanks for everything!

I came way from Raleigh to come to Washington just to go to Renell’s today and it was well worth the long drive. The food was simply amazing and the greens and Mac and cheese were to die for. I will most definitely return and I recommend this place to anyone in or outside of the area that loves some good ole homemade soul food cooking. Renell’s is far from a disappointment.

I had the barbecue chicken, mac and cheese and green beans. It was all good and the mac and cheese deserves 10 stars. I usually don’t get mac and cheese because I am always disappointed, not this time. I got there before 5 and they were out of cabbage and collards. If you like your corn bread sweet, you will like theirs. This place is so close to my house, I could walk. And I better, because I know it won’t be my last visit.

I called and placed a take-out order. I asked did they take Visa, they replied “yes” but did not tell me I would be charged 3% more for using a credit card. I asked if they had Daily Specials, I was told yes and she told me what they were. Between meatloaf and the other, I chose the “other”, which I think was Country Style Steak (several thin patties), mashed potatoes with gravy, cabbage, and cornbread. At checkout I saw that the Special was over $13 and then I saw the extra charge for using my debit card. I am just yards from their cafe, but when I got home I found the food to be barely warm and tried reheating in the microwave. The cornbread was a generous portion, but dry and crumbly. Considering the price and the taste of the food, I will not go back. If they do not lower the prices and serve warmer food, I don’t think this new business will make it. This is almost a rural location, out of the way, and the people here will continue to drive the mere 2-3 miles more for less expensive and better-tasting food. I wish I could say better about this new business.
