Fun place, highly recommended. From Chicago, so we can authenticate the Chicago-style dogs from the celery salt to the bite on the dog. Love the Sprechers too. Nice touch. Great atmosphere, personnel are very friendly. We’ll be back. Next time, beef sammiches.

The ice cream flavors are really unique and you can get milkshakes in whatever flavors of ice cream they have. The girls working were very friendly and helpful and patient. The inside of the restaurant was really nice and it was kinda retro/vintage like an old diner. It was a nice place. I didn’t order food only milkshakes for myself and a couple of my coworkers. The milkshakes were really good. The ice cream they use is hand dipped and they mix it themselves. The little soft pretzels looked delightful and they’re menu looks/sounds appetizing in general in my opinion.

Just had lunch there with my wife. My first visit (wife has been there before), and it was 5-star all around! Great food, service, and prices. I had the Chicago Dog, and it was delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, and the tasteful retro decorations add a very nice touch. I’m not in Monticello on a regular basis, but when I am and I’m hungry, Renee’s Chicago Dogs will definitely be an option high on my list! Thank you!

Omg! The best Italian beef in the area! I highly recommend that everyone go to try their food. Mt son had the chili dog and he said it was the best. They also have my favorite drink Green River.

What a gem! Visiting some friends in Monticello and we stopped in. Chicago dogs, Vienna beef sandwiches and awesome ice cream! What more could you ask for? A definite must go to any time we will be in the area! You will love it too! By the way, they do have other food if the dogs and beef don’t impress you!

If you don’t know anything about Chicago authentic food, you may complain. I have read enough people on here complaining & it is ridiculous. I have seen 3-4 businesses try to open up Chicago food drive thru’s & restaurants in Lafayette & they end up closing their doors. FINALLY, we have the best place open. Tastes just like I am at a very authentic Chicago restaurant. Those cheesy beefs are so excellent & perfect. The juice is great, along with peppers. The fries are awesome. Today was my 3rd time there. I just can’t stop craving your menu. Can you please do one thing? Fountain coke products are a must. And maybe down the line, a couple Chicago authentic pizzas?

This is exactly the kind of place I had been waiting to see open up in the area! It has a really cool ’60s diner theme, an ice cream bar, and a delicious all-star menu! The service is unmatched, as management and staff are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met in the industry. It’s the perfect place to spend a lunch break or even go for a cute date!

When I heard there was going to be an AUTHENTIC Chicago Dog spot near me, I was so excited. Every time I’m in Monticello, I make sure to stop and one (or 2, let’s be honest.) I sometime also leave with ice cream and/or some Italian Beef. They’re always friendly and the food never disappoints!! Go check them out!
