Reid’s Cafe & Catering Co. Menu – Banner Elk, NC

Type : American restaurant

Location : Banner Elk, NC

Reid’s Café is a labor of love from Tina Houston, owner of Reid’s Catering Co. which has been established here in the High Country since 1999.

At the base of Grandfather Mountain, Reid’s is centrally located between Banner Elk, Linville, Foscoe, and all the gorgeous Grandfather communities. Just as we value beautiful ingredients in our catering, the café procures the highest quality of ingredients for their seasonal menus. We value the handmade and fashion from scratch details as small as the aioli and dressings we use, to house made focaccias and pastries, slow roasted meats and naturally fermented pickles.

We avoid industrially grown and processed foods. We love the intentional, the specific, the well-cared-for.

Shopping-mall dining room offering creative American eats, oysters & full bar in a hip setting. Based on 234 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.5 stars. Price

One of my absolute favorite restaurants in Banner Elk North Carolina! Food is 5 star, the bar is amazing (Make sure you ask for Devon), and atmosphere is cozy, but still sophisticated. I love how the menu constantly changes, ingredients are fresh, and cocktails are delicious. You must get reservations here if you’re in Banner Elk North Carolina..

A wonderful place for my dad’s birthday. The food was wonderful, plated well, and filled us up. The tuna was tender and tasted amazing with the sauce. The lobster bisque looked royal with the huge pieces of meat in it. It was a great place for our family to celebrate.

We ate here tonight upon a local recommendation. The food overall was good but some of the appetizers were very miserly in portion size for the price you pay The main bone I have to pick with this restaurant was our server had an attitude. and is clearly not trained in service for a high end restaurant like this. When asked if we could share two salads for the table she made us feel as if we were asking for the moon. She seemed to lecture us about how they don’t allow sharing. In addition she was slow on service for wine/ cocktails and forgot to bring out my salad prior to brining the entrees and didn’t even acknowledge her mistake. After we finished she had to be summoned to clear our plates and sloppily stacked the plates and silverware right on the table slinking food and debris all over the table almost as if we were not sitting there any more. This waitress clearly did not have much training and her attitude over all was fairly icy and void of any personality. I am happy to pay for great food and good service and usually do. She got 15% tonight which is more than she deserved. I’m not knocking this place completely the ambiance was nice but when you charge these kind of prices your staff needs to deliver and that’s on the restaurant to make sure their staff does their job properly.

I had an amazing meal here June 1st! The restaurant has a very friendly, inviting atmosphere and our service was impeccable. I had the Crispy Duck Breast and it was cooked perfectly-is it too much to say the duck was so tender it almost melted in my mouth????? No! Not too much! It was that good! And that was after a delicious charcuterie board as a starter. And of course a perfect bottle of wine. Just a great evening meal. And I will definitely come back!

Every time we eat at Reid’s we are blown away! The staff is always welcoming and accommodating. The decor is lovely. And the food and drinks are PHENOMENAL! Our favorites… the grilled New Brunswick oysters with the house made cocktail sauce, the milk punch cocktail and the trout! So flavorful, so tender, truly delicious! Reid’s is a treat and our favorite spot in Banner Elk! Mattie is our favorite server! We will be back again and again!!!!!!

My husband I I were here two weeks ago. Food was good but not worth the $$$$$. Service was just ok, we asked just to share and appetizer and our salad. She looked at us as if we had just killed a kitten in front of her, rolled eyes and walked away. Once we got app and salad also, yes at same time. We had to ask for plates in order to divide them up. I guess this is a cafeteria so shouldn’t expect exceptional service.

Cocktails were good, service was good but the food was way overpriced for what it was. A basic pasta was $45. Penne with a red sauce and burrata with barely any meat. I definitely feel ripped off and would not return. I have been to 5 star restaurants in much bigger cities and gotten more for my money.

So glad to have found this restaurant!! Have been twice now, once in May for an anniversary dinner and now in December for a girls trip. The food is phenomenal! Everything we ate was delicious, especially the oysters. The drinks are fantastic too. This is a must visit when we are in the area now!
