Went on a Thursday, the evening of the Carol G concert in SA. I was looking forward to having some brisket, or SOME TYPE of traditional BBQ meat, as this restaurant was recommended by a friend. However, the website fails to notify of the daily “limited” menu. For a minute, I seriously believed I was at the wrong location or my GPS was totally off. Don’t come for brisket on a Thursday night here. I was so very disappointed and unimpressed with the “BBQ” burger and the “BBQ” wings we ended up getting, I was too mad to take a picture of it. Those were the only options available on their limited menu that evening. I seriously wanted to drive away but my friend said we’re already here… And don’t even bother asking for an agua lemonade at the bar, because they didn’t have that available either, although it was posted on the drink menu. The employee was very gracious enough to give me a complimentary bottled water, when he realized how unimpressed I am with my first and last experience at this place. I would have liked to support this small business, but you must be transparent to your customers. We went out for BBQ that night at a BBQ place, and ended up with hamburgers and wings. If you don’t have BBQ on a Thursday night at your BBQ place, then post this on your website. The only upside was the live band. They were great. At least the whole experience wasn’t a bust.

Wow! This place is delicious. It’s worth sitting outside on an incredibly hot afternoon. The brisket is great and carnitas are so jucy. The beans and pobalano mac are probably the best sides. The staff is friendly & genuinely cares about your experience. I would definitely brave this crazy heat and come back. Oh, and we had the pineapple cobbler with tosted coconut… im speechless. Try it! You won’t regret it!

The brisket here is hands down the best I have had. I have had BBQ from all over the country especially from KC where I lived. The ribs were tender, moist and fall off the bone. Their homemade BBQ sauce was divine. You cannot pass up on the chance to enjoy a portion of the Plablano Mac and cheese. It was amazingly delicious. I was worried that the 4.9 rating given by Google was locals just saying it was goo but this place from the moment you get out of your car the smells, friendly greetings, comfortable atmosphere was 100% a 5 star BBQ joint.

I’ve judged many bbq cook-offs and the ribs are some of the best I’ve had. The lean brisket was moist from rendered fat and the turkey was very moist. Nice outdoor seating available. Good prices! Great job Reese Bros. I’ll be back!

Surprised this BBQ was so highly rated, since I walked away thinking it was simply ‘OK’

If this place is not on the next Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ List, I’m writing the editor. Possibly the best ribs I’ve ever had. The brisket was as tender, juicy, smoky and beefy, as you could possibly ask for. Places that match this quality of BBQ are often charging $5-10 more per pound. We went at 2pm on a Saturday and there was plenty of parking and it was not overly crowded. It’s a must if you are in the San Antonio area.

Best darn BBQ I have ever had! An Uber driver recommended Reese Bros, we walked over from the river-walk and so glad we did.

I pretty much got everything on the menu I went with 1/4lb portions on all the meats and a link of sausage. Brisket was nice and tender smoky as well as the ribs not overpowering smoke flavor but just right. The smoked turkey breast was real good as well nice moist really good. The pulled pork idk had been sitting in grease juices too long wasn’t as smoky as everything else wasn’t a fan of it. The sausage was a blend I think of pork and beef with the jalapeno cheese was a bit spicy for me.. I had all the sides which were all a lil different than your normal side only one I don’t get was the potato salad sold out green Mac n cheese was different but great the okra beans I liked a lot as well. All in all a good spot I’d eat at again.

I was in San Antonio for a couple days and really wanted to have good Texas barbecue! Google Maps directed me to this place and I’m glad it did! I went at opening so I had very little wait time. I ordered my food from the friendly staff and they had my food out in minutes!

Wanted to grab a bbq lunch and was not disappointed. This place is oozing of flavor. The brisket and boudin were phenomenal. Chose the poblano Mac and okra beans as a side. I’ve never had mac quite like this, it was gooey, cheesy and had great kick. Now, the okra beans were out of this world. Love the veg with the beans. Got 4 handmade tortillas to top it off and they were divinely fluffy. Great location, lots of seating. Love to see this business making great bbq for the San Antonio community.
