Small, cozy atmosphere – good place for a date night (fills up fast – will definitely make a reservation before our next visit). Food was seasoned well as my wife thoroughly enjoyed her sesame-crusted flounder entree. Although our slaw and tartar sauce were somewhat bland, the rest of our food was spectacular, not only spectacular but next-level good (highly recommend: fish and chips, hush puppies, key lime pie, steak fries, flounder sesame and crab dip). Our waitress Shannon was very attentive to making sure we had a good dining experience. Looking forward to returning and trying more menu items.

I was here 3/17/2023 during dinner time. My friends ordered the crab dip and calamari and both dishes were delicious! For my main entree I got thr rainbow trout. I was disappointed I don’t think hollandaise sauce is supposed to look like that and it did not taste it. The sauce was just slapped on the skin of the fish as you can see in the picture. The sauce was thick and didn’t move. I didn’t taste the crackers or the crab. I would not order that particular dish again. The mashed potatoes and hush puppies were good. My friend ordered the lamb chops, her first time having them and she was very disappointed. She asked for medium well it was rare. She sent it back and it came back overcooked. She didn’t even eat it. She was very dissatisfied with the taste. My friend wanted the crab cakes but we were told they don’t offer it at all anymore. Please update your menu. Customers look forward to having a dish and when you yell them we don’t have it at all, you get upset and wonder why the restaurant doesn’t take time to update the menu. The waiter was cool. If I go b a back I will try another dish.

This was a nice and cozy restaurant. The staff was commendable all night long and the special blackened catfish was amazing as well as the flounder, which was huge. My picture doesn’t do it justice. If you’re in the area, check out this seafood gem.

Definitely above average, especially for this part of NC. All our seafood places are compared to Fish Bites in Carolina Beach. Our favorite hole-in-the-wall seafood place. And Reel Seafood compares very well. Service was also above average. The chef came out and discussed the rather small oysters my wife first received and explained which would be bigger and where they come from. The second round was normal sized, and very tasty according to the wife-unit. The shrimp was buttermilk battered and very firm and delicious. This place is a little pricey … but it may well be worth it. Overall … above average experience.

Had the Mussle/Littlenecks for an appetizer, so delicious ,we took the sauce home to dip home made Italian bread in, because they give you so much !! For dinner had the Halibut Special & Snow Crab Special , both AWESOME!! All sides were very good as well. Had to order dessert to go because so full !!

We came from out of town for a day trip to Greensboro for my partners birthday. They chose Reel as their birthday dinner. Sahi was an excellent server and was the cherry on top of a wonderful experience. The food was amazing. I grew up on the south coast and miss seafood as I live in the mountains now. I look forward to out next trip and eating at Reels again!!!
