Surprisingly good. The Mac and cheese I got was the part that’s left at thanksgiving when everyone takes the cheesy topmost layer. The flavor was there though. Perch was well seasoned and well fried. The yams were mashed but again the flavor was good. Overall, highly recommended. Honestly some of the best food this Chicago girl has had in Columbus outside of my own kitchen.

MAAAANNNN LISTEN!! I WAS craving some food and when say “THIS WAS THE BEST” I REALLY MEAN IT (coming from a TRUE FOODIE). That Grippos chicken is one of the best. I SWEAR I “HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT. The costumer service was phenomenal.

Let me say I’m from Florida and I’m a truck driver who happened to do a door dash, baby when I tell you this food was a blessing from God everything was amazing from the turkey ribs, Mac and cheese with candied yams the Blak Jersey beef rib and collard greens ending with banana pudding hunny this family put their heart in their food I felt the love all through it! Just amazing keep making great food we enjoyed every bit of it!

first time here, I got the deep fried taco mac n cheese, and greens , everything was slapping! customer service was good they said it was gonna be the best deep fried taco i ever had and she was right! Good people good food!!

We have tried red tye’s twice now. We just moved to this area and we’re looking for good soul food. The first time we had it (chicken wings, greens, cornbread, Mac and cheese, raspberry lemonade, potatoes and onions), everything was absolutely on point. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked and oh so good. We were so impressed that we told friends and family and decided to make it a weekly tradition. Seriously some of the best food we had ever had. We had some friends over tonight and ordered it again, only a much larger order. I’m sad to say that this experience was just the opposite. Everything was off. The fried wings tastes burnt, like they had been overcooked in old oil. The Mac and cheese tasted like it was old and came out of a microwave, the potatoes and onions were bland and tasteless.The cornbread was the only good thing out of everything that we bought. Spent over $90 and felt like fools because we had talked it up so much. Not sure if we will order from here again and that’s disappointing. We thought we had found our “go-to” spot.

My order was incorrect. I paid $33. Charged for 2 items and did not receive. The food was bland. Paid for a perch sandwich, 4 wing dinner with sauce, Mac and cheese and greens and 2 banana puddings. Received one banana pudding and no barbeque sauce on chicken wings. If you like creamy Mac and cheese don’t order there’s, it’s not creamy. Only item with seasoning was greens, a little spicy, but not bad. Old bay can be used on seafood without extra salt if that’s what they are trying to avoid.

The food in this restaurant was amazing! It was tasty, hot & fresh! I enjoyed it so much.. I went back to make sure it was consistent and it was as expected…delicious. It is a bit in the cut, so hard for the GPS to give an accurate description , especially at night, that it is located on the back side of another business.

Spent about $85 just for them to give Mac n cheese that tasted expired. The woman taking orders had attitude. And clearly does not listen I repeated I wanted fried chicken. She said ok and gave naked wings which were disgusting. Chicken tasted like they just dropped old chicken let alone my husband paid for an extra 10 piece they shorted us. We are not from here but come to the area often. We ate one time before around lunch time it was decent. This time we ordered right before closing. O and the greens tasted very bitter. I told my sister about it she, who lives near restaurant said they give terrible service at night. Her sides are never right. I’m never eating there again.
