Arrived at 9am on a Sunday morning and there were only a handful of people there, so no wait time at all. We ordered drinks and they were brought right out. Our food didn’t take too terribly long to come out. Everything was okay not the best but definitely not the worst. The kid’s portion of French toast and bacon was excellent. The cowboy Benedict wasn’t amazing, had all the right ingredients but really lacked flavor. The classic Benedict’s eggs were over cooked so the yolk was solid. We were brought our check but then nobody ever came back to pick it up, we ended up taking it to the front counter to pay, maybe that’s what you are supposed to do? There was a wait when we left so maybe other items are worth it on the menu but we probably won’t be back, the prices are too high to not enjoy the food.

I tried this restaurant again after they changed ownership to Red’s Country Kitchen hoping for better food and atmosphere. Maybe it was a bit too early after the change because the food was exactly the same as I remember years before. It’s bland. There’s almost no flavor. The gravy was almost pure white and packed with sausage bits. You’d think that would add a little flavor but it did not. The entire party I was with also noticed the lack of flavor. One did say the pancakes were good. Portion size was enormous. Quantity does not equal quality.

Read the reviews and decided to drive from roseville to check it out. Felt like complaints online didn’t really give a clear picture of a bad experience… we just left, still hungry, food was awful. We said something to the server when she asked why we don’t want boxes and brought our check…she laughed and never came back, someone else took the card. We just spent 40 dollars and feel ripped off, the food was terrible, not seasoned well, the grease tasted old. We left almost 2 full plates of food pictured here…

A lot larger on the inside then it appears from the street. Very friendly waitstaff with plenty of seating. Rustic decor is charming. Great coffee, huge portions (the pancakes are MASSIVE). Toast was thick and delicious. If you get the country potatoes, have them add the onions and peppers. A great local greasy spoon diner!

Kims was amazing. It was our favorite spot but it’s now reds and it is nowhere near as good. Changed up recipes, got rid of stuff like linguica, which in this part of Lincoln is a must have on the menu. Their bloody Mary is terrible now .We won’t be going back

The new owner changed the biscuits and gravy recipe. They used to be mine and my husband’s favorite, not anymore tasted so bland and just nasty like generic store bought biscuits. My father in law also disliked his chicken fried steak, it tasted and looked like a straight up flavorless hamburger patty. It’s definitely not the old Kim’s.

UPDATE; prices have gone up (i understand) however portions have gotten way smaller as well. Also be aware that the new prices were not ALL reflected on the menu. My chili verde omelet said $12.?? However it was 15.07 when run up. Drinks (coffee, choc milk, sodas) are now $4.13 each. 3 adults and 2 kids 98 dollars to eat breakfast. Still DELICIOUS food but dang….
