I went to this burger place about a year ago it was pretty good, went back today and got a turkey burger, I didn’t like it, very cheesy, the burger itself looked pre made and the fries were pre-fried, one of the cooks had what look like eczema on his arm, and it was like a big Bloch! Or a burn I didn’t say anything. He should have covered it up or wore a long sleeve shirt, this was a huge turn off I will not be returning.

I’ve been eating here since I was a teenager. Maybe the old staff cared more about the food and the experience of coming to the small shack. I’m actually disappointed how the food is turning out. This is a salmon burger. Anytime I came in the past when the younger male was working there I never complained about the food. But whoever is working at night time, this is disgusting because if you wouldn’t eat it what makes you think I would? Old lettuce, stale bread. Salmon was super super dry. Just a waste of money. Both burgers came up to $30 that’s mad expensive for burgers…..

My husband loves red onion. Unfortunately, the last 3 times that he had red onion. He got stomachache because I suspect they changed the Mayonnaise for a cheaper one. On today’s order the onion rings $5 + by the way, bag was pretty empty. Quality has gone down. Very disappointing

We miss this place a lot. We had three meals there – in two days – and we loved all of it: The amazing staff, the awesome food, the authentic atmosphere. Never tasted a better Bacon Cheeseburger. Enjoyed the delicious pancakes, too! We would love to come back anytime – wouldn’t The Red Onion not be this far away from Germany!

Small shop but solid burger and fries. Lettuce and onions were fresh and crispy. Thick fries were excellent.

Food is great. Just a good old greasy cheeseburger to hit the spot. Downside is there is no dine in and the option of eating in the back parking lot under the Bart isn’t the most appealing. Again, food was great! Cheers!!

Red Onion has some of the best burgers in town. A bit more expensive, but well worth it. They’ve been in business over 40 years, and they have perfected the art of the burger

Truly the best hole in the wall burger, have been going for over a decade and it never disappoints. Cannot recommend enough!

My movers said this place has the best burgers in the East Bay. I’d give it the 5th star if I had tried it myself.
