I ordered egg drop soup and the house special mei fun. The egg drop soup was very hot and about what I expected. Nothing great but nothing to complain about. The house special mei fun was nearly all noodles. I did see a few shrimp in there, but very few, and the taste was flat. I was disappointed and would not recommend that dish to anyone.

I ordered for myself the one thing that usually can tell you everything you need to know about a Chinese restaurant. The egg rolls. 99% of the time if they can make a good egg roll they can make good food. Also you will find out if they serve real sauces with their food or colored water with sugar or salt depending on the sauce. The egg rolls were ok. Sauces were fake. My wife wanted the house fried rice. It was like the egg rolls. The egg rolls were OK. Nothing special. But overall the prices match the quality. It’s food that is better than many. I give it a 3.5 . Only because the food is just worth the money.

After giving them another try after years of not eating there, I ordered cashew chicken, it was disgusting, it tasted spoiled the sauce on it tasted weird. I literally just threw it away and have no plans of ever eating there again. I should have known better and stick with China Cottage there food is always right on.
